Maxing out CRAFTING (Technical Ability). I went from Crafting 9 to 20 in 25 mins with below requisities.

Prerequisites: you need 20 in Technical Ability, OR make a manual save, invest enough perk points to get Technical Ability to 20, and reload save after achievement. You also need large amounts of crafting components.

At the end of the game, at lvl 47, street cred 50 I had amassed large amounts of crafting components (11,000+ common components) without even trying. If you loot thoroughly and sell loot regulary you will have lots of money and components at hand. I disassembled all loot worth less than $500. That way I needed to visit vendors less often. I had also saved all grenades I found in the trunk of my car during the game, thinking I might need them for something late game.

So if you lack components, buy stacks of them to help you level crafting faster from Junk Vendors. Buying inhalors from Medicine shops and disassembling them also give a good chunk of components. Wait 24h ingame to restock vendors.

What I did to unlock the achievement was I crafted blue and white grenades. Grenade type doesn't matter, the all require the same amount of components. Got lot of XP for doing so. Then I disassembled them, getting almost all of the components back. Don't know if blue grenades net more crafting XP, but they used less white components. When I couldn't craft more blue grenades, I crafted white ones which required more white components. Then disassebled all of them again. Rinse and repeat.

The crafting amount bar will go up to thousands of grenades. You can put the cursor at the end of the bar and press A to max out the counter, you don't need to hold right on the D-pad to increase crafting amount. Saves a lot of time.

Hope this will help those saving this achievement for late game. This is only time and money consuming. For me the prerequicities came by "natural gameplay".

I initially went for the Crafting 2 Legendary Items achievement which allready requires 18 in Tehnical Ability, so I was well on the way with this one. Seemed easier than going for Strenght (sliding trick), Intelligence cheesing (camera hacking) or Cool (stealth kills).

If you play, or plan to play a Reflex gun build with 20 in Reflexes you will also get this cheevo by just playing the game, no worries. I have 18 Reflexes and raised Handguns to 18 a long time ago by just shooting bad guys with handguns. Handguns in Cyberpunk is funnily OP smile

Calex dEUSWorked great, added the perks FithBloodHell mentioned, after I broke down my inventory I had about 4000 components and got from level 9 to 20 in a few minutes. Could have bought more components I guess but would waste time resetting the vendor so not worth it unless you have a very low starting point in terms of components.

As an FYI I was getting about 1 level per max amount of flashbangs I could craft.

RockAngel252I was late game and still didn’t have this achievement. I as level 20 in Technical as I liked to stealth into places my only option really was to do the Crafting (tried Engineering using grenades and didn’t get very far).

I had perks True Craftsman (to craft rare items), Grease Monkey (to craft Epic items), Mechanic (Gain more components when disassembling), Edgerunner Artisan (to craft legendary items), Cost Optimization (Reduces component cost of crafting items by 30%), and also throughout the game I had Scrapper (junk items are automatically disassembled). Having Scrapper only gives you about 8 EXP each item but every little helps.

This guide helped me because I used the Grenade assembling and disassembling and got me from level 15 to 20 in about 30mins with my perks.
I admit when I started I didn’t fully understand the guide so wasted a lot of time just crafting and dismantling uncommon grenades but that still got me from level 7 to 15 quite quickly. I disassembled everything I owned, including stash and got quite a few components.

When I got to level 15. I was starting to struggle so went to Medpoints to buy the maxdoc and bounce back inhalers, though I did have the glitch where I had a lot of maxdoc 1 inhalers so I couldn’t disassemble them and the game has been patched so you don’t get free xp from them, you just can’t break them down.

There is a legendary grenade that uses one of the uncommon grenades (red one F-GX Frag Grenade) and I already had a large stock of these that I couldn’t break down due to glitch mentioned above so could use these to craft the legendary grenades and got about 4,000 XP each time for this for crafting between 40 and 60 grenades.

I then rinsed and repeated as guide suggests but would definitely say craft the highest tier grenade first then work your way through Epic, Rare etc as you do get more XP the higher the tier.

If you have the spare cash I would also suggest picking up any components you find in the Medpoints or weapon shops as they aren’t too expensive (can get a load for a bout 10,000 eddies) and help a lot.

I found that skipping time didn’t always get the shops to refresh their stock so just fast travelled around the city to different shops to buy out their stock.

TheJudge24With the 2.0 update, grenades can no longer be crafted. They are now on a cooldown timer and you have an infinite supply of them.

    Cyberpunk Version 2.0 Guide:

The achievement is unlocked when you elevate a skill to its max level of level 60. There are 5 skills in Cyberpunk version 2.0 (or above) as listed below with the primary (but not all) the means of progression:
    • Headhunter: Headshots. Also certain hacks like system shock result in headshot XP.
    • Netrunner: Hacking
    • Shinobi: Use blades: Katanas and cyberware designated as reflex attuned (Monowire, Mantis Blades, etc.) & (to a lesser extent) perform acrobatics: dashing, sliding, climbing, etc.
    • Solo: Use body skills and weapons like shotguns, blunt melee, gorilla arms. If you use gorilla arms, make sure the variant you use is marked as body attuned.
    • Engineer: Crafting and using tech weapons & cyberware marked as tech attuned
You can check on your skills and their progression by pressing cn_start and choosing character. On the lower right of your screen, you will see, "Skill Progression." Click on it to bring up a screen with the 5 skills and your progression in each skill.
    Image 1

CAUTION: Skill progression in Cyberpunk version 2.0 (or above) is radically different from previous versions. There is no longer a direct correlation between attribute and skill. There is an indirect correlation. For example, the higher your intelligence and netrunner perks, the more quickhacks you acquire and the better you are able to progress in the netrunner skill. Nevertheless, even a character with low intelligence will be able to make decent progress by hacking terminals and other objects around you. In other words, it is the actions you perform, and not your attribute level that is the primary factor in your progression. The attribute level contributes insofar as it provides you with a greater variety of actions some of which have a greater impact on progression.

If you started a pre-version 2.0 game and have not yet popped this achievement: You may have been following one of the excellent TA guides. They no longer apply. Your efforts up until the 2.0 upgrade will not have been in vain. You are given credit for actions you have taken. Check your skill progression as described above. If you have not already done so, rebuild your character with the version 2.0 perk trees. If you have not rebuilt your character, make a manual save before you do so as insurance in case you are dissatisfied with the results.

To assist you, on the official site, a build planner is provided: https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/build-planner?a=33333&b=&am... This allows you to experiment with the allocation of attribute and perk points up to the max level of 60. So, you can do what-if scenarios based on your current level. Additionally, you can plan ahead and make an informed decision every time you level up. As one consideration, but not the most important one, investigate the perks that will help you with the skills that have shown the most progression so far AFTER the 2.0 upgrade.

Moreover, https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/48958/build-planner-craft-... provides a conceptual overview of the 2.0 system. It includes 3 level 60 builds as examples: Bullet-time Ninja, Hack & Slash Netrunner, and Savage Slugger Solo. For each example, there is a short video with an overview. Moreover, each example links to the character builder to show how attribute and perk points were assigned for the build. Accordingly, you can choose one of those builds, use it as-is or modify it according to your preferences, and continue your game. Alternatively, you can rebuild your character as you see fit in accordance with your preferred style of play.

Once you have rebuilt your character, choose the skill you want to work on--presumably one that already has decent progress. Progress through the story normally but focus on the actions that will increase skills. Check your progress periodically to ensure your game play is having the desired effect. Eventually, you will pop the achievement.

If you are playing Cyberpunk 2077 Dlc you can 'farm' skill shards. Each gives a massive boost to its designated skill. There are two ways to farm them:
    1. Get to a Hansen Airdrop designated by a plume of orange smoke, defeat the guards, and open the orange container (it might or might not require quickhacks). The reward, as often as not, includes one or more skill shards.
    2. Perform a car delivery mission for El Capitán. The cars are designated by green wheel icons on the map. Once you take a car, Muamar (El Capitán) Reyes calls to give one or more additional objectives. If you accomplish all additional objectives, the rewards are greater and, more often than not, contain a skill shard.
The airdrops and vehicle missions are endless and continue even after you complete the main Phantom Liberty story.

This is only if you don't want to cheese your way to max skill level!

The requirements for this are to have an attribute(Cool, body,Reflexes, etc.) to level 20 and one of the Skills related to said attribute to be level 20 as well. Your skill level will not go beyond your attribute level, example Handguns will max out at 10 if your attribute Reflex is at 10 and will not gain any extra XP until you upgrade your reflex to 11. Perks are not a requirement although you can buy a Tabula from rippersdocs to respect your perks if needed for a low fee of 100K Eddie's.

For my playthrough I maxed out Cool and went with stealth.
The problem for myself was that I played on easy which means I didn't get as much XP after completing every side gig and NCPD scanner hustle in the game and at the end I was only level 17 stealth.

Keep in mind these numbers aren't at all accurate which is why I'm giving ranges.

To reach level 20 on your skill it will take around 500,000 Skill XP not including leveling up attributes. You get a set amount per kill/action on what difficulty level you play on. Since I was on easy I got around 80-90 per stealth kill and double if I dumped the body in a container/fridge/dumpster. Playing on very hard will grant you at least double that if not a little bit more.

With that said I had to grind from level 17 stealth to 20 and it took some time but would've been way longer doing this on easy so I recommend on very hard. Also keep in mind I was heavily specced into stealth so from stealth with an upgraded revolver I one shotted every enemy headshot or not. This route took me 10-15 minutes eventually when I got it all on routine and netted me 4-5K skill XP per run.

method for attribute levels and skill levels
This grind spot I used is really only for people who are in my position and who are trying to max out these skills:
    If you've maxed reflexes attribute:
    Assault
    Handguns
    Blades

If you've maxed out body attribute:
    Street Brawler
    Annihilation

If you've maxed out cool attribute:
    Stealth
    Cold Blood

Intelligence attribute may work as well for quick hacking and breach protocol but may take longer

Now onto the grinding spot: Pacifica dataterm by the Grand Imperial Mall contains a clockwise loop I took with about 30-35 enemies with plenty of places to dump bodies if you're doing stealth.

1.When you spawn at the dataterm to your left will be three enemies. These respawn on a short timer.
    2. To the right of them is market area a few metres away. This area may or may not respawn the enemies when you leave the Pacifica but won't hurt to check.
    3. Turn around and head inside the Grand Imperial Mall. There are 8-10 enemies here, they usually respawn after leaving Pacifica via dataterm and coming back. Also, lots of places to dump bodies.
    4. Head out the mall to the left you will see three enemies firing at a turret. These respawn on a timer like the other 3 near the dataterm.
    5. Across from the highway jump up to a small market area with 6-8 enemies.
    6. Now head back to the dataterm but on the way the you will see a construction site to your left with another 6-8 enemies and places to dump bodies.

Every stealth kill granted me 188XP and double if I dumped the body in a container. One other note on dumpsters/containers, once you fill them up you can't again for some reason they stay full so after awhile you will fill all of them within this area and can't use them again for some reason.

Below is a list of skills and how to get XP for each
    Athletics: Dash, Dodge, Climbing, Jumping
    Annihilation: Using Shotguns & LMGs
Street Brawler: Using melee blunt weapons
Assault: Using SMGs, Assault Rifles, & Sniper Rifles
    Handgun: Using Handguns & Revolvers
    Blade: Using Blades
    Crafting: Crafting and dissasembling items
Engineer: Using Tech Weapons or smart guns
    Breach Protocol: Doing breach protocols
    Quickhack: Using quickhacks in battles
Stealth: Stealth Kills, Successful Takedowns, Surprise Attacks, dumping bodies in containers/freezers/dumpsters
    Cold Blood: Using bladed weapons

ScottyYeah, i've no idea how you're supposed to pick them up, pressing or holding X to take/take all just makes me learn it for some reason. I do have 3 in my inventory (3 that are of no use to me for this achievement, since I'm not level 20 in intelligence) and i'm like 1/3 of the way towards lvl 20 in another skill anyway, but it would have been nice to get it to work for other skills.

CamJobI have seen a bunch of these go on my screen from just playing, but I've been saving attributes/have been maxed on my abilities for a while. Seeing the "Gain XP for ____" popup I just thought that meant I needed to level up before I could use the shards...but it looks like they've all just been auto-consumed. I've definitely only ever looted everything with X.
Posted by CamJob on 19 Dec 20 at 17:19
Maxumilli0nDeleted the solution guys. Looks like it was fixed. The video I posted was for perk shards but when I went to test actual skill shards they autoconsumed. It will work if you already have a skill shard in your inventory already though.

Post 2.0 this is difficult with all of the glitches and exploits being patched.

I finished the everything including all of phantom liberty and my highest skill was headhunter at about 44.

I have no cheese or hack to help you, but I can give some tips. I found headshotting with a revolver gave more xp than a sniper. With a good revolver with a scope and silencer you can head shot enemies in one hit anyway, plus you can fire faster.

I would cruise along the high road at the back of dogtown and engage in any gangs I see including going into the bases from the heist type missions you can complete once. Be on the lookout for shards dropped by enemies, loot every body.

Any time you hear the rumble of the aircraft dropping a pod make a beeline for it, you can see the coloured smoke. You will have a firefight when you get there, so use your preferred fighting style (headshots etc) and then open the crate, you get a guaranteed shard, though for me they were mostly inventory expansions.

Additionally taking the cars back for El Capitan rewards you with a random shard too.

You can buy some shards inside the stadium too from the junk vendors, as far as I know these do no respawn however.
