Hello there, ladies and gents. Today we're going to be covering the Helping Hand achievement in Calico. This achievement is for completing all of the Quests for all of the Townsfolk and a few random Cats.
Below is a text explanation of how to achieve this, but if you are interested, there is a link at the bottom of the solution to a complete Video Achievement Walkthrough and a complete Text Achievement Walkthrough that you can follow start to finish in about 3 hours.
EDIT: At the request of Rainboe Warrior, it's worth noting that you get the ability to fly near the end of the game, making some of these quests much faster to complete, though I have now updated my Full Achievement Walkthrough Video and Text to reflect this.
NOTE: The game is still rather glitchy, so its not a bad idea to make a Save right before finishing anything that will pop an Achievement so that you can reload if an Achievement doesn't pop correctly.
There are a few things to note beforehand.
There are 46 total Quests in the game.
Villagers give you most of the Quests, however, there are a few that are given by random Cats.
The Townsfolk Tab that you can get to from the Animals/Quest D-Pad Menu shows Hearts next to the Villagers. If a Villager does not have 3 Hearts next to their name, that means you can still get a Quest from them, OR currently have one from them that is active.
Once you've gone through the Story and all Villagers have 3 Hearts next to their names, return to the Townsfolk tab and the Achievement will pop.
Below I have listed all 46 Quests in the order that you would get them in my Walkthrough, as well as a brief description of each.
I did not list detailed Guides for each Quest as the in-game objectives do a good enough job of telling you what to do. I also only list Quest Rewards if they are important to other Quests or Achievements.
001. Getting Started
Quest Giver: Kiva
This is the introduction to your Cafe. You need to place furniture, assign an animal to the Cafe, and bake some recipes.
002. The Path to the Mountain
Quest Giver: Kiva
After Quest 1, you get told to visit the Villagers and look into removing the rockslide blocking the path to the mountains. Autumn, up in the Mountains, is a potion maker, who may be able to help. Autumn is missing her cat, Char, but once you find and return Char, Autumn thinks she can help you.
003. Owl by Herself
Quest Giver: Maia
Maia has some baby owl eggs she is trying to keep warm to hatch, but her heat lamp seems to be failing. She doesn’t want to risk buying a new one herself incase the lamp dies while she’s gone, so she asks you to bring her one from Estelle.
004. Spooky Scary Furniture
Quest Giver: Ash
Ash visited your Cafe the other day and it was disgustingly cutesy. Place some Spooky furniture in the Cafe so that Ash feels more comfortable.
Reward: 2 Rad Partitions
005. Deliver the Goods
Quest Giver: Estelle
Mayor Kiva’s ergonomic desk chair came in by Estelle and Ash are too busy to deliver it, so Estelle asks for your help.
006. Assistance with the Assistant
Quest Giver: Estelle
Estelle’s assistant, Ash, seems distracted lately. Can you help them get back on track by putting Coffee on your Cafe menu?
Reward: Tart Recipe
007. Fashion Photoshoot
Quest Giver: Maribel
Maribel has been asked to perform a photo shoot, and she thinks having it in your Cafe with some Cloud furniture would be perfect! She’ll make sure to come by early in the morning so she doesn’t disturb business.
008. Prism Break
Quest Giver: Ash
Ash stole one of Estelle’s Magic Wands, and things got out of hand. There are now 7 bunnies hopping around town that are each a different color of the rainbow, and Ash wants you to bring them to the fenced-in area nearby.
009. Mushroom Spores
Quest Giver: Lily
Lily was supposed to meet Xin in the city to get some mushroom spores for Lily to grow in her garden. Lily is too busy to make it though, and requests you to take her place.
010. Rad Dad
Quest Giver: Poppy
Poppy was window shopping but already has too many items. He learned of some Rad furniture, which speaks to his Rad self. Since he can’t buy any Rad furniture, he’d appreciate it if you put some Rad furniture in your Cafe.
011. Cat Cafe Croissants
Quest Giver: Poppy
Poppy is amazed by his Daughter Lily’s use of Magic on their flowers. He wants to thank her for her hard work, but can’t think of the right item. Ask Poppy what she likes, and he’ll remember that she used to love Croissants from the Cafe. He wants you to put Croissants back on the Menu for his Daughter.

012. Anniversary Date
Quest Giver: Sunny
Sunny and Blossom’s anniversary is coming up! 4 years since they met at the Cat Cafe, and now that it has re-opened, Sunny wants to take Blossom there again. Sunny wants you to decorate the Cafe with some Flower furniture.
013. Welcome to the Neighborhood
Quest Giver: Blossom
Blossom thinks her Flower Wall Deco will look great in the Cafe, and wants you to put them on the wall.
014. Sweet Tooth
Quest Giver: Blossom
Blossom asks how you’re adjusting to the Village. Tell her you love it here and that a Tea Party sounds amazing, and she’ll reminisce about your aunt’s roll cakes. She’ll give you the Roll Cake Recipe and ask you to make some.
015. Tricksy Business
Quest Giver: Sunny
Sunny’s raccoon friend, Tricksy, hasn’t been heard from in a while. Tricksy might be hanging out in Cutie City, but Sunny would appreciate it if you could check on them to make sure they’re okay.
Reward: Boba Tea Recipe
016. Big City Dreams
Quest Giver: Construction Cat between Snowbell Mountains and Cutie City
Construction Cats are blocking the entrance to the City, but we don’t speak Cat.
017. Feathered Friends
Quest Giver: Freya
Freya thinks Birds can get along with all the other animals, and wants you to prove it by having a Bird assigned to your Cafe.
018. Snack Swap
Quest Giver: Freya
Freya feels like she hasn’t been a good enough friend to Maia. So she asks you to make some Donuts for Maia who asks you to make some Cookies in return!
019. Dance, Dance!
Quest Giver: Malcolm
Malcolm is nervous about joining a Dance competition filled with Cats, and wants your help!
020. Cute Potion
Quest Giver: Steve
Steve has a potion to Cutify Furniture, but wants more to test it on, and requests a Basic Display Case.
021. Corporate Retreat
Quest Giver: Safety Cat along barrier between Cutie City and Clover Coast
Safety Cat says the area near the lighthouse is impassable due to Poisonous Flowers. But we need to get it open!
022. Variety is the Spice
Quest Giver: Xin
Xin requests that your Cafe has 3 different types of chairs, to cater to all customers’ sitting needs.
023. Arcade Hero
Quest Giver: Lee
It is Maribel’s birthday soon and Lee wants to give her a plush from the Arcade machine, but he’s having trouble and requests a loan.
024. Purr-fect Market Data
Quest Giver: Safeena
Safeena has some information about what furniture should go in your Cafe. Give it a try.
025. Magicatastrophe
Quest Giver: Lily
Lily is having a problem with some of her potion-altered flowers. She can’t leave because she needs to keep Poppy from seeing, so she asks you to go find Autumn to beg for her help!
026. Patches
Quest Giver: Kiva
Kiva knows the perfect animal to add to your Cafe. There’s a Red Panda named Patches that wanders in front of Kiva’s House and they’d be perfect!
027. Magical Mixer
Quest Giver: Kiva
The Magical Mixer is coming up and Kiva forgot food! She wants you to bring her one of each type of food so she can decide what she wants for the Mixer.
Reward: Flan Recipe
028. Big Problem
Quest Giver: Kai
The bridge to Golden Grove was destroyed in a storm and has yet to be repaired, but there should be a Stump near Autumn’s Mountain that can be used to get there.
Reward: Laser Pointer Toy and access to Golden Grove
029. New Friends
Quest Giver: Kai
Kai is lonely and would like a Pet to hang out with. Can you bring them a Cat or Dog to be friends with?
030. Lighthouse Gone Dark
Quest Giver: Kai
Animals have chewed through the Lighthouse power cord and Kai can’t fix it until the animals are moved.
031. Secret of the Witching Woods
Quest Giver: Daisy
A large cat is blocking the entrance to the Witching Woods. Maybe Autumn knows a way to move it?
032. Scaredy Mouse
Quest Giver: Daisy
Daisy is terrified of cats, but maybe a small one would help her get over her fear?
033. City Mouse
Quest Giver: Daisy
Daisy heard that Cutie City is open, and since she’s become more confident, she wants to take her neighbor, Gabby, up on his offer to accompany her.
Reward: Cinnamon Roll Recipe
034. Matchmaker
Quest Giver: Gabby
Gabby is lonely, and requests a fluffy, curly-tailed dog to keep him company.
035. Some Pig
Quest Giver: Maia
Maia saw some Pigs on the Clover Coast Beach and thinks one would be perfect to put in your Cafe.
036. Take These Broken Wings and Learn to Fly
Quest Giver: Rosa
Rosa is happy you’re enjoying the flying broom, but her real goal is to make Animals fly. To do that, she needs her sister Autumn’s help.
Reward: Big Small potion now works on birds. This helps unlock an achievement for flying on a Large Animal.
037. A Beginner’s Guide to Witchcraft
Quest Giver: Rosa
Rosa loves the magical forest and wants to keep practicing the traditions of magic to maintain the forest’s balance. When you mention that you’re interested, Rosa tells you a few things to do to start learning Witchcraft yourself.
038. Dapper Doves do Dastardly Deeds
Quest Giver: Maribel
Maribel was carrying a bunch of items, her store keys and a cupcake when she was swarmed by pigeons. Now the 5 pigeons have all her items and she needs help getting them back. Find them, pick them up and place them down again to get the items back, then return to Maribel.
039. Saving Mister Snuggles
Quest Giver: Xin
Xin can’t find her favorite Ferret, Mister Snuggles, and asks for your help.
040. Online Shopping
Quest Giver: Lee
Lee ordered some clothing online but it is the wrong size. He thinks it should fit some of the other Island residents, so asks you to deliver them.
041. Venture Cat-pital
Quest Giver: Safeena
Safeena has some local business investment opportunities for you! Donate some beans and see how you do.
042. Spa Day
Quest Giver: Autumn
The rockslide kept Autumn from delivering some potions to Lumi in the Mountains, but Autumn and Lumi are having some problems. Would you deliver the potions for Autumn and try talking to Lumi?
043. Onsen Master
Quest Giver: Lumi
Lumi thinks the Village folk don’t get to experience the Mountain Animals enough, and asks you to find and then put an Arctic Fox in your Cafe.
044. Hocus Focus
Quest Giver: Autumn
Autumn made some wonderful cat treats and needs a real cat to test them on.
Reward: Scone recipe
045. Capybara Collection
Quest Giver: Lumi
A party from the City was careless and wrecked the Onset. They also scared off the Capybaras, and Lumi is hoping you can find them and bring them back to her.
Reward: Taiyaki Recipe
046. A Blessing for the Birds
Quest Giver: Rosa
Rosa wants to perform a ceremony for the feathered friends of the forest. She needs your help, and asks you to go see Daisy for some feathers.
If you've followed the Quests in order, once you have rescued Mister Snuggles and turned the Quest in to Xin, hit Up or Right on the D-Pad and use the bumper buttons to get to the Townsfolk Tab, where the Achievement will unlock! Again, if the Achievement doesn't unlock, double check that all Villagers have 3 hearts next to their names and that you don't have any Active Quests remaining.
