How to unlock the Thaw-Stopper achievement

    For anyone wanting to do this without boosting, here is a trick I found useful:

    Use McCree or Briggite and stun the enemy who is trying to thaw, they usually go straight back into it and then you can eliminate them as well, counting as 2 thaws!

    Note: Only eliminations and actual stuns count towards the objective.

    Slam Shot SamBeen trying to get this for days and then just managed to get four with Ana on my first match of the night. Would recommend using Ana or Roadhog for their ranged interrupts and ability to self-heal.

    I got lucky, really. Ended up with me and an enemy Lucio alive and he kept just trying to thaw instead of fighting; I’d sleep dart him and leave him on the ground while my cooldown reduced, then get him again after he ran off to try and thaw another teammate.

    Although that exact situation is unlikely, the achievement is still possible (if annoying). Lost count of the times I had two and came within an inch of a third interruption.

    K4rn4geTried a bunch with Brigitte and Roadhog but after trying Dva, I ended up getting it fairly quickly with her. Even if an enemy is thawing a teammate further away, you can use her dash / flight ability to reach/push into them and thus interrupt them.

    XxDeadpoolxX182I swear I just got this achievement after interrupting just one thaw with ana, endgame screen said three but I only stopped junket thawing a teammate once with her sleep dart

    FoolontheHill24I don't remember how I got this exactly. I was either using pharah or junkrat, and whichever it was, I got it by just using their normal attack on an enemy trying to thaw. I guess they push the enemy away enough that it counts as an interrupt? I wasn't going for it. I was actually trying to get my ult up to suicide for the other achievement, so I wasn't doing anything special. I just know I was using normal attacks with one of those two characters and I wasn't really trying to kill the enemy (it ended up being 1 on 1, and they were running around trying to thaw their team who were all frozen relatively close together). I was intentionally letting them rez while taking a couple pot shots at them and killing one of the 2 once the thaw went through. So I was basically damage farming when I noticed the achievement pop.

    FruitofPassionI don't actually think I got all 3 interrupts in a round but either maybe assists count, or I just didn't notice, or it bugged, but I was surprised I did get it. But just wanted to mention I was using Lucio who DOES work now, and was able to get several interrupts, I just really don't remember them being in the same round when I did finally get it. Not gonna complain though :p

    TranierxFound that D.Va is reliable as her booster cooldown is short enough that you can stop someone trying to constantly thaw out someone else and you can go through shields.
