Note: This guide is for GOLD medals. You can still follow the strategies in this guide for medals, though :)

    Monster Challenge 1: Score
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: 80,000pts
In this challenge, you need 80,000 points before time runs out, and you can't let The Missing Link get hit by an enemy. You have 3 minutes on the clock. This means you need to get score at a rate of 26667 a minute, or 8,000 every 18 seconds.
The enemies in this challenge start off spawning in small amounts, but as you destroy them, more and more spawn each time. About halfway up the 'alleyway' that is the location for this challenge, on the left, on a giant gas/fuel tank, you'll see the letters "H-D". I tend to rapidly drop missiles in line with these letters in the alleyway, by moving left and right on the L stick, doing a 'carpet-bomb' like maneouver. This will destroy 90-95% of enemies throughout the challenge. Occassionally it'll miss an enemy, as their location when dropped are random, so you'll have to move away to kill the enemy that's missed. However, as long as you keep rapid-firing left and right in line with the letters, throughout the entire challenge, assuming you do it like I did, you'll end up getting to about 60,000-65,000 points with 1 minute left. I ended up finishing with 105,000 points, so as long as you follow this method, you should get the gold medal for this challenge.

    Monster Challenge 2: Time Challenge
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 30 seconds remaining
In this challenge, you have to be VERY tight on the timing. You need to have a completely perfect run, involving not getting hit by the humans, not hovering in mid air by jumping when you need to attach to walls, picking up ALL gold time bonuses, and not getting injured. If you don't do one of these things, you won't get gold. When going down the final horizontal travelators, do NOT go down all of them. Rapidly press A as soon as it lets you, and B.O.B. will jump down to the ground, to hit the beam of light to end the challenge. This will save you two or three vital seconds, allowing you to get the gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 3: Time Challenge
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 45 seconds remaining
This is a very straightforward challenge, and you'll get the 45 seconds on the dot if you don't get hit. Get every single time bonus there is up to the point where trigger the switch to open up the door on the left to outside. You must get this switch otherwise you cannot get the gold medal for this challenge. When you come to the switch (it'll be at the beginning of a vertical wall on the right, with a time bonus on the vertical wall on the left, equal with it), wall-ride over the switch, then cross over to the newly-opened door by doing a diagonal jump off of the wall you're wallriding on. Go outside, get all the additional time bonuses, then come back inside. Get every time bonus there is on the way to the end, and avoid the lasers from the giant robot attempting to kill Ginormica. If you do this, you'll finish with 45 seconds exactly.

    Monster Challenge 4: Score
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: 45,000pts
I found this challenge to be the easiest so far to gold medal. Simply use one attack on the enemies - the B button, and then use the enemy to throw them at others. If you just pick up an enemy and kill it, it doesn't explode, but if you throw an enemy at a group of others, they do explode, giving you multiple points from one attack. You have three minutes to get 45,000 points, and as long as The Missing Link doesn't get killed (run around to get space if the enemies are crowding around you), continued use of the B-button grab followed by throwing the enemy grabbed at other enemies with RT should get you 45,000 points with about 20 seconds to spare.
I should note, however, that the missile launcher will come up. I advise getting rid of that enemy first, as that is worth 1,000 points each time. There are also some flying enemies, which you can only kill with a jump attack (A button to single jump or double jump, then X or Y to perform an attack). These can be killed by throwing ground-based spherical enemies, however, you cannot grab an air-based enemy.

    Monster Challenge 5: Score
    Character: B.O.B.
    Gold Medal Requirement: 7,000pts
You have 2 minutes to get 7,000 points by killing helicopters in a B.O.B. This means you need to get 3,500 points a minute. As soon as you start this challenge, there are four helicopters in front of you. Kill these as soon as you start. This will then cause helicopters to fly onto the screen. As soon as you seem them coming onto the screen, shoot at where they are going to. Try and shoot all missiles that get shot at you too, as each missile gives you 50 points, each helicopter giving 100 points. I managed to get 8900 with my first attempt, so this should be an easy gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 6: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
There isn't anything I can say about this level. This is identical to one of the Ginormica levels in Chapter 1, except it doesn't have the DNA particles on. You must complete this challenge without being hit. I will make a note of something that got me three or four times. The very last obstacle is a red, horizontal laser which you have to jump, and straight after, there's a vertical red laser as well. This will hit you if you're close to the camera, or in the middle of the road, so you must, when taking the final jump, be as far away from the camera as possible.

    Monster Challenge 7: Time Trial
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: Under 1m 45s
This is a really annoying challenge. If you don't get the right circumstances for the people at the beginning, you probably won't get gold. I got lucky, and managed to do this challenge on gold with 15 seconds to spare.
In the third 'room', you'll have to get a block to go along the grate on the ground floor, however, there's a person standing there. You need to be reliant on luck that he's facing in the other direction. When you get to the other side of the grate, turn to the left, spit the box out (B button), and then turn to the right, and suck up the enemy (B button). Quickly go back across the grate, jump to the ceiling, go left, jump down, and proceed.
In the first 'tall' room, you can afford to be hit with some lasers, so go straight through any horizontal ones you can, to save yourself some seconds. There's no bonus points or time for finishing with full health, so use your health bar to your advantage! In the last area, you can pretty much fall through multiple grates one after the other, so do so. Then it's a rush to the finish line. Good luck!

    Monster Challenge 8: Flawless
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
In this challenge, the laser blasts from the U.S. Avenger arm cannon will get faster and faster towards the end. Always try to stay in the middle of the three tracks, as if you're on the side, and the laser blasts fires two next to each other, and you're on the wrong side, you have a very high chance of being hit, so try and stay in the middle, go back to it after you've dodged a laser blast, if it is safe to do so. The laser blasts will last for about a minute or so.

    Monster Challenge 9: Time Challenge
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 40 seconds remaining
This is a simple gold medal challenge. Take the same route that you would have taken on Mission 1 of Chapter 2 (Under Attack), as you were playing through the story mode. You must take the shortcut about halfway through the level, which is to the left, up the crane-like ramp. If you do NOT take this, you CANNOT get the gold medal. You must also get every time bonus in the path. You can only afford to miss ONE time bonus. If you miss two, restart.

    Monster Challenge 10: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
This is the same requirement for gold medal as the requirements for the "Bring It On" achievement. See information on how to get this gold medal challenge done at the following achievement:
Monsters vs AliensBring it OnThe Bring it On achievement in Monsters vs Aliens worth 15 pointsDefeat a Beam Bot without getting hit.

    Monster Challenge 11: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
Like the previous challenge, this just involves going through part of one of Ginormica's levels without being hit. There's nothing I can say to help you here, just practice, learn the route, and you'll get it. I managed to get it on my 4th or 5th attempt.

    Monster Challenge 12: Time Challenge
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 10 seconds remaining
There is only one way to get this gold medal, and you'll finish this challenge with EXACTLY 10 seconds remaining. Get all the time bonuses, and towards the end, you'll see a part where there's two time bonuses which can be retrieved on a moving platform. GET THESE LAST. Go south on the forked pathway that goes to the moving platform, and pick up the single time bonus. Then quickly go back to the fork, and then you should just manage to get on the moving platform as it's going to the northern-most bonus. Wait until it gets the other bonus, then go as quick as you can to the end. Note that you need to go diagonally across as many corners as possible, and you CANNOT jump over gaps - it's an auto-die maneouver.

    Monster Challenge 13: Time Challenge
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: 45 seconds remaining
This one is very easy. Skip fighting ALL enemies. All you have to do is grab an enemy with B button, and then hit the two first turrets in front of the forcefield. Then you'll have to put three enemies, using the B-button grab and throw with RT trigger, into a cannon. You'll have a small B-trigger section, followed by another cannon. Do the same thing. Another section, then another cannon. Again, three enemies in will do it. Then, progress forward, across the bridge, and to the exit in the middle of the new area.

    Monster Challenge 14: Time Trial
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: Under 50s
This is a tough challenge, as it depends upon where the machine's 'mouth' starts. You want it to start off directly in front of the 'alleyway' where you start. If not, retry the challenge. You need to throw in a land-based spherical enemy as soon as you can in each area, as you need to do this five times, I believe, within 50 seconds. Grab with B button, direct with Left Stick, press RT to throw. Good luck!

    Monster Challenge 15: Score
    Character: B.O.B.
    Gold Medal Requirement: 10,000pts
This is a tough challenge. Try and use your shield as less as possible, and always keep firing at the next red orb on the screen. That's all you can do. Hope a lot of red orbs spawn. Good luck!

    Monster Challenge 16: Time Challenge
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 20 seconds remaining.
This one is VERY easy. At the start, don't grab the box. Go straight forward, through the grate, until you hit the switch. Then come all the way back, grab the box from the start, and hold yourself on the shield-protection pad. Then go on the right conveyor belt, spit out the box when you need to when you hit the vertical wall, go through, protect yourself in the shield-protect pad, pick up the box, get the time bonus, hit the switch once more, and race to the end. I managed to do this with 24 seconds left, so you have plenty of time once you know what to do.

    Monster Challenge 17: Time Trial
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: Under 2m 00s
This one is an extremely easy gold medal. Keep grabbing with B-Button and throwing at other enemies. That's all you have to do. When you're at the missiel bit where you have to blow open the gate, focus on the missile, ignore the enemies that spawn. Then just run past them towards the ending segment, where oyu have to time your jumps right. You should have plenty of time using this method - I finished this in 1m 25s - 35s to spare!

    Monster Challenge 18: Score
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: 40,000pts
This is yet another fantastically easy challenge! To do this, just B-button and throw (RT) for the first couple of waves, and then just use your Hold-X Leap Attack for the rest of the waves. Absolutely EASY points. You'll then start having missile launchers and 'chargers' at about 20,000 points. Use the B-button LT throwing trick. You will then have a wave of 2 chargers and a couple of airbots. Use the Hold X Leap attack to attack the chargers first, then the airbots. Dodge the chargers a couple of times, hit them as much as you can without them damaging you until they're dead. You'll then have what can only be described as an Ape enemy. You should have faced one of these in story mode, by now. You don't however, have a 2nd player who can attack it whilst you stand clear, so wait until he's off-balance, and pummel him with Y attacks.
After he's dead, if you're as quick, or quicker, than me, you'll have at least 20 seconds left. You'll probably have about 38,000 points. Another wave of air-bots and chargers will spawn. Do the Hold-X Leap Attack to get your last couple of thousand points for the gold medal. That wasn't so hard, was it?

    Monster Challenge 19: Time Challenge
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 45 seconds remaining
You have to do a lot of grinding in this one. And shortly after a boulder-blockage on a slight to-the-right turn, there will be a shortcut on the left, which requires you to go up a ramp, and jump up, getting five time bonuses, which gives you an extra six seconds, as the normal route only has three time bonuses over this area.

    Monster Challenge 20: Flawless
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: 80,000pts
On this challenge, I recommend the suck-and-spit attack (B, RT), as this is the quickest method to dispatch the small spherical enemies. You also have to contend with the giant green laser beam. Luckily, you're on a patform wth 4 shield protector pads. Unluckily, only one of these works at a time, so as soon as it turns on, get to it, as you only have a few seconds before the laser fires. Note that the selected shield protector is random and if you're not attacking the small, spherical enemies, they can come into the shield protection pad and attack you, thus stopping your gold medal.
The most enemies on screen at one time in this challenge is limited to 6, so after the 4th wave of enemies (that's the 4th area that the platform is in, NOT the 4th set of enemies), I recommend just circling the platform until a shield protetor pad activates, sucking and spitting lone enemies should they get too close.

    Monster Challenge 21: Time Challenge
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 30 seconds remaining
For this challenge, I'm just going to explain the route in steps, as this will be easier than reading a paragraph as you play, because you have to be very precise on this challenge to get a gold medal.
    - From the start, go right. You'll see a gold medal above you, to the right of you, and below you.
    - Ignore the first two, and go down to get Time Bonus #1.
    - Follow the orange path to the bottom of the maze.
    - Go right, collecting Time Bonus #2, avoiding an enemy, and collecting Time Bonus #3.
    - Continue followng the orange path, going past two shock-bot enemies, to collect Time Bonus #4.
    - Go through the grate above you, and continue following the orange path to pick up Time Bonus #5 and Time Bonus #6. Note that Time Bonus #6 is just below a box.
    - Go back up, pick the box up, and go back to the top of the maze, where you turned right. This time, go left, across the grate, picking up Time Bonuds #7.
    - You will see two paths down. The right-side one is a dead end. Take the left path.
    - You will go around and be back at the start, after picking up Time Bonus #8, which I told you to leave at the start.
    - Now go right, across the grate, picking up Time Bonus #9. Spit out your box as soon as you reach the orange floor, and go through the grate.
    - Pick up the next box, or a yellow enemy, whichever is closer to the inside corner of the turn, and then go clockwise, picking up Time Bonus #10.
    - As soon as you pick up Time Bonus #10, go down.
    - Avoid the Shock-Bot, and follow the path to the end, going across a grate for a shortcut.
In this challenge, you must cut the corners perfectly, in diagonal movements, as you will not get gold, if you don't, unless there's a shortcut I've not discovered (if there is, please comment and I'll update this challenge guide). This method I've described gets you 30 seconds exactly, and it assumes you do not get hit by enemies.

    Monster Challenge 22: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
This s the same as part of the level in Story Mode. Just watch everything the enemy behind you does. In this challenge, he'll throw 24 spinning black and blue disks at you, and like in The Missing Link's laser blast challenges, you have to dodge them all. A couple of seconds after dodging the last one, you'll get the gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 23: Time Trial
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: Under 1m 30s
In the first area, ignore the big robot and the turret. Destroy the enemy dispensers as soon as you can with repeated Y attacks. Move on. Press the button, move on. Do Y attacks on the two circuit towers until mortars are about to hit. Once again, ignore the enemies as much as possible. The mortars will hopefully fnish the job of destroying the circuit towers for you. You should be at about 40-42 seconds now.
Move on, fire the missiles back at the two missile turrets by using your Y attack. Try to stay away from the shock-caterpillar-bots whilst doing this. Do not expect to finish ths challenge with perfect health; remember, you don't need to, either. Destroying the two missile turrets will allow you to press a switch to move on. Do so.
You should be at about 1m 05s at this point. Get right behind the forcefield-protected switches, in line with the robotic hand, and it will cause the hand to switch the switches on for you. Whilst waiting in position, keep using the Y attack to keep the segmented shock-caterpillar-bots at bay. As soon as the third switch is pressed, run to the exit. You should have 1-3 seconds to spare for gold.

    Monster Challenge 24: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
Whilst doing this challenge you need to not only watch what lasers the robot enemy is using, but you also have to watch the ground behind the robot to see where he's putting land mines. You must always dodge them whilst skating, ducking, and jumping. When the robot fires his red laser, I found the only way to dodge it well is move to the side, and then double jump in the other direction, where the second jump leaps you over the laser on the other side of it. Once you reach an arching canyon area, you'll have the chance to finish the robot off with a 5-button QTE (Quick Time Event). If you miss, or do the wrong button, you fail. Get it right, and if you haven't been hit, you get a gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 25: Flawless
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
I'm gonna say it now, I HATE this boss. First, jump over it's 3 triple-shockwave ground-punch attacks, then blast it's closest arm with the Y button. If you're quck enough, it'll trigger a mini-cutscene where you do The Missing Link's Leap Attack, bringing the enemy boss down to 2/3rds health. Back up to the edge of the fighting area.
He'll do another 3 triple shockwave attacks. Dodge these by double jump, and once again, go to attack the closest arm with Y attacks. You'll get another Leap Attack cutscene. Do it, and he'll be at 1/3rd health.
This is the part where he becomes a pain in the ass. Stand too close to him, and he'll punch you. Stand too far away from him, and he'll try and roll attack you. This attack is VERY hard to avoid, but the only way to do it is to run in one direction, left or right, and then double jump away from him right as he's about to hit you. If you stand in the middle of the area, with a bit of luck, he'll fire small, spherical enemies at you, which you can pick up, and toss at his eye. Maintain this level of distance! If you don't, he'll roll you. He sometimes lasers you, too, but this is an easy attack to dodge with double jumps. When he's at about 5% health, you'll have a QTE where you can get inside his body and finish him off. If you manage to complete the QTE, without being hit in the challenge, you'll be awarded the gold medal. Good luck.

    Monster Challenge 26: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
Like Challenge 21, I'll just tell you what you need to do as a list, for easier reading as you play.
    - You're going left. Chain-tackle two pairs of tackle-able vehicle robots.
    - Jump a beam, then duck a beam. Whilst ducking, you'll have to chain-tackle two more vehicle robots.
    - Duck two green laser beams, jump over a beam, then duck another pair of green laser beams.
    - Chain-tackle two vehicle robots.
    - Jump a beam, duck a pair of green laser beams, Double jump over a red laser beam.
    - Quick Time Event, where Gallaxhar drops a large robot head on you.
    - "I am going to annihilate you" cutscene.
    - 1st door: Tackle.
    - 2nd door: Duck bottom right.
    - 3rd door: Tackle.
    - 4th door: Double jump top left.
    - 5th door: Tackle.
    - Take the left tunnel to avoid three vehicle enemies in the middle tunnel. Right tunnel is blocked off.
    - Exit tunnel.
    - Main doorway entrance and the first door will be open.
    - 2nd door: Tackle.
    - 3rd door: Double jump through top middle.
    - 4th door: Tackle.
    - 5th door: Duck bottom right.
    - 6th door: Tackle.
    - 7th door: Double jump top left.
    - 8th door: Tackle.
    - 9th door: Duck [U]absolute bottom left.
    - 10th door: Tackle.
    - 11th door: Double jump top middle.
    - Finish, collect gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 27: Score
    Character: The Missing Link
    Gold Medal Requirement: 40,000pts
I can only recomment constant leap attacks (Hold X) as ths will be the only way you'll survive against these strong enemies. At 30,400pts, you should have 50-55 seconds left. You'll have to fight a giant spinning bot. Dodge him until he's dizzy, and then do multple Y attacks unless he regains his footing, then back off again. Do this until you get a QTE to kill him. I killed him at 28 seconds left. Then, the next wave of enemies should spawn. You should have enough time to perform two Leap Attacks, killing the whole wave of enemies, and sending you over the 40,000pts required for gold medal.

    Monster Challenge 28: Score
    Character: B.O.B.
    Gold Medal Requirement: 10,000pts
I personally found this to be a very easy gold medal challenge. Keep RT down at all times, except when using LT to shield yourself. Get as many of the hovering, spinning blue objects as possible, as you get 30 points for a small one, and 100 for a bigger one. However, do make killing enemies a higher priority, as they can fire at you, and the spinning objects cannot. Shoot all the enemies that you can, and protect yourself with your shield when their firepower is about to hit you. You should get this gold medal easily. I managed to hit 10,000pts after the 2nd plasma-lock gate.

    Monster Challenge 29: Time Trial
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: Under 1m 30s
This is an easy gold medal. Just run through, don't worry about getting hit by lasers, and you'll finish in 1m 20s or so, plenty of time, especially when you can take the hits by being fully upgraded (by buying all of the bonuses from defeating previous challenges).

    Monster Challenge 30: Time Trial
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: Under 2m 00s
There are three main areas of this challenge. The first and third areas involve destroying a clone-spawner, which is easy. Just Y attacks and Y attacks whilst in the air when the clone machine is off of the ground. The second area involves killing four towers, and the enemies around them. Once you've done that, kill the second wave of enemies that arrives. You have to kill all of the enemies to be able to progress through the door to the third area. Don't forget to go in the blue hologram to kill the machine in the background. I recommend Y attacks for the towers, and Leap Attacks for the enemies. You should finish this will plenty of time to spare.

    Monster Challenge 31: Flawless
    Character: The Missing Link
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
See Monster Challenge #8. This laser blast challenge will fire about 60 times at you, with a mixture of doubles and singles. Dodge all of them to get gold.

    Monster Challenge 32: Time Challenge
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 30 seconds remaining
This one is very simple. Get as many of the gold coins as you can. Before the first escalator (going right), there's a tome bonus coin on the right, on the inside of the maze. Ignore that one, as that takes longer than it rewards you for getting it. Instead, get the three coins by going through that part of the maze, as this awards you a total of 30 seconds. From that point, get every coin that you can, as quick as you can, except for the coin that is on the far left, in a kind of indentation in the mesh wire. You won't have enough time to get it before the moving mesh platform goes to the right, and getting it will result in your death. However, if you manage to get all of the other time bonuses, you won't need it, as you'll have at least 15 seconds to spare.

    Monster Challenge 33: Flawless
    Character: B.O.B.
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
There is absolutely no tricks to this challenge. It's skill based. Do what you did in story mode to beat it, and don't get hit. Watch all lasers, and shield yourself quickly and often.

    Monster Challenge 34: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
In this challenge, you start half way through the boss battle.
In leg 1 of this challenge, you'll have to duck his green beam lasers, and double jump over a plasma energy ball he puts on the path in front of you. You'll then have to duck again, and then tackle a crystal which he creates. This wll hit it against his body. Repeat this sequence three times to trigger a cutscene. You'll have to do two QTEs, and if you do them successfully, you'll rip off leg #1 of 3.
In leg 2 of this challenge, you'll have to double-jump three plasma energy balls he puts on the path in front of you, in quick succession, and then duck his green laser beam. He'll then put a tackle-able crystal on the path, which you can hit into him. Repeat this sequence three times to trigger a cutscene. You'll have to do two QTEs, and if you do this successfully, you'll rip off leg #2 of 3.
In leg 3 of this challenge, you'll have to double-jump four plasma energy balls he puts on the path in front of you, in VERY quick succession. It was then immediately be followed by a crystal, which you need to tackle to hit into him. Repeat this sequence three times to trigger a cutscene. You'll have to do two QTEs, and if you do this successfully, you'll rip off leg #3 of 3.
If you manage to do all of this without being hit, you'll get gold medal. In my opinion, this is a very easy challenge, just quite long, so if you get distracted, you will make a mistake.

    Monster Challenge 35: Flawless
    Character: Ginormica
Gold Medal Requirement: 0 Hits / Flawless
    Final Challenge!
Like some of the challenges previously, I'll write in simple steps what you need to do.
    - Double jump a plasma ball
    - Tackle 2 crystals
    - Double jump a plasma ball (HORRIBLE camera angle, by the way)
    - Tackle a crystal (HORRIBLE camera angle, by the way)
    - Double jump a plasma ball (A much better camera angle)
