In this game when you use weapons they deteriorate rather quickly. You can check the state of the weapon you're using in the inventory (it is express by a decreasing number under the voice "Durability").
When they break, you can either trash them to gain a repair kit or repair them.
This very easy achievement unlocks the first time you use a repair kit on a weapon.
