Since I didn't to get this in my initial Paragon runthrough, even though I felt like I had done enough sidequests and quests (around 60 total), here is the list that unlocked it for me (note I did not go to Virmire yet or start the Asteroid X57 missions) so I recommend you do as many assignments as you can before going to Virmire. Also, it isn't clear what counts as a "failed" mission so I recommend doing this with Charm and Intimidate so you can make a mix of Renegade and Paragon decisions if necessary to complete the entire mission (e.g. for smuggling in Noveria, saying no probably completes the quest in the log but might not count for the achievement). As the other guides mention, do as many Citadel and Feros sidequests since you need to go there anyways and follow this guide if necessary ( Make sure you check which sidequests you can do after finishing one or two main planets.

I started a new campaign from scratch on casual, here is the list in case it helps you get close to what you need. If you miss any look up the list and see if you can do another one that fills in the list:

l BlackBrian7 lGot this without doing a single UNC assignment. Was on the part where you were detained on the Citadel and it popped with one of the assignments there. Had 17 missions done and 30 assignments when it popped. This includes the Bring Down the Sky and its assignments. So you can pretty much stick to the main missions and their assignments, and the citadel assignments, and you should be fine. Seems much faster/easier than the original game.

I got it pretty early. Right as I finished Noveria

This achievement is reminsicent of the original game's achievements where you have to complete a certain number of quests with each character. It popped for me just prior to the final boss, with 18 missions and 37 assignments complete, so completing 55 quests constitutes "the majority of the game".

I Vigilante ISo... I've completed 50 Assignments, and 15 missions. I already completed the entire story but it didn't pop so I loaded back. Any ideas? I can't go to the Citadel to pick up quests but there might be others in the system.

Saxzor1337Mine unlocked after "Virmine" and when I did one more assignment after that.
Still haven't done "Race against time", and I have 5 different UNC collectibles left.

So do as many assignments as possible and this should unlock before starting the last main missions.

MathNotEvenOnceI got the bug. Made it to end, and the only uncompleted Assignment I had was Feros: Data Recovery. That was obnoxious. I reloaded a save at the Noveria mark, so hopefully it doesn't break.

I unlocked this before Virmire, with 16 missions and 28 assignments. Including 'Bring down the sky' DLC

    Here's a great guide I used from IGN -
It also shows where to find certain assignments.

My best advice would be try and stick to the citadel ones, they tend to be quicker to complete. And do the side assignments linked to a story mission.

On the main missions, sometimes instead of going in guns blazing to get part of the story finished is to do the assignments that take place while doing the main mission, so for example, In feros I turned on all the water pumps, killed the alpha and got some data for a scientist. They are relatively quick to do and you mostly run into them anyway while concentrating on the main mission. Just remember to turn them in when you have done the additional missions to the main mission.
