All you need to do for this achievement is in Shepards loadout screen before each mission (or at the upgrade station in the Shuttle area on the Normandy) is hit X on a particular class of gun that you have equipped and any of the possible attachments to it you have found throughout playing the game. Soon as you do this for any gun and hit accept, you will get the achievement.
