If you are like me, you may get a bit confused by this achievement. You can stasis trap ghosts in multiplayer without weakening them first, however, this achievement won't unlock in multiplayer and enemies do have to be weakened first in singleplayer. That left me confused for a while.

The best place I found to try for this achievement is in the Library level on Casual difficulty. You'll get separated from all your teammates by moving bookcases. Keep moving along. Eventually you'll run back across Ray as he slides out of a tube followed by book bats (if you've already played through the level, just load the checkpoint Sorted Out). After the book bats are defeated, 2 blue ghosts will appear. Weaken both of them to the point that their healthbars turn red signifying you can use the capture stream on them. The reason you need to weaken both of them is because the capture stream disrupts the stasis beam. Hopefully Ray will stay occupied with one of them allowing you to focus on the other.

Select the Dark Matter/Stasis stream by hitting left of the D-pad, then use LT to fire it at the enemy Ray isn't messing with. As the beam starts to take a hold, solid matter will begin to form on the ghost. When it is completely encased, try to throw a trap directly under the ghost. If the ghost is sufficiently weakened and the trap is directly under it, it should be drawn directly into the trap. This may take several attempts though until you figure out how far exactly your character throws the trap.

Note that this achievement may possibly require the Slam Dunk trap upgrade for $18,000. I'm not certain of this though as every time I have attempted doing this I have already had that upgrade.
