    CADDI'm fully upgraded with 22 extra cores. No achievement yet, but why do many extra????

    I could not agree more. I know my eyesight sucks, but the UI text is unnecessarily small.

    There are a total of 45 Spartan Core locations in the game.
    You need to visit all of the 45 locations and collect the Spartan Core to unlock the achievement.

    Funnily enough (did 343 get the math wrong here?) you will have an extra 28 Spartan Cores when you have collected all the cores and improved all your Spartan Upgrades.

    If you are having trouble locating the Spartan Cores, IGN has a good interactive map that can also be used for the other collectibles in the game
