How to unlock the First Rainbow Crown achievement

To Earn a Rainbow crown you need a full combo of all Good ratings , no ok or bad.

First things first Calibrate your screen in the options. I used easy calibrate and my settings ended up being :

Adjust Music Note positions : +2

Adjust Music Note Recognition : -2

Then head to Game settings. Go to Configure level settings and change from standard to super simple. This stops almost all animations and makes it easier on your eyes when trying to perfect notes.

Next choose the easiest song and play on easy difficulty (Easiest song is called HOMURA from anime category)

You now have to hit 56/56 notes Good and not OK. This takes a little practice and timing.
Try time it that you push your button cn_A just after the red note has entered the inner circle. For the large notes time it that the face is dead center of the inner circle when pressing buttons cn_A and cn_X together. Practice , Practice , Practice. You will get it done.

Here is a video of my successful run :

LiquidHotMAGMA9I used the song Homura to get this achievement, but my settings were 0 position and -2 for recognition 1.1 speed and I had Spartan turned on so if I hit an ok, I can skip the next note and it'll restart the song me, which made it simple for me.

You won't get penalized if you keep hitting the drum on the beat. For the music nerds out there (like me laugh) the song is in 4/4 or 8/8. After I hit the first 4 notes of the song, I started going to the beat by every 1/8 of the beat which actually helped me out a lot.

This took me way too long to get this maybe 25-30 tries (lost count laugh) Like Cemetery Girls I failed on the last note and the second to the last note at least twice.

R1KM4NUsed 'Always with Me' as the song but your tip on the calibration was fantastic. Have been struggling for a while, always missing 1/2 notes. With your tip I got it first time. Thanks!

Corn 0nThe Cobb+1 for Always With Me. I got it first try with this song (disclaimer: I've played a lot of rhythm games in the past). I think it's easier because the rhythm doesn't change throughout the whole song.
Also I didn't change any speed settings or calibration, since mine was already calibrated well for me and my TV.

    Update: My best tips are:
    1. The higher you can set the speed, the easier it is to hit the notes at the perfect time. You'll have a wider margin of error on the screen. If the notes are moving slow, the margin of error will be a very small horizontal distance. Just don't set it so fast that you don't have time to react once a note appears.

    2. Take breaks. This one has the potential to be very frustrating and rage-inducing, which will work against you. Just try a couple times and play some other songs til another day. If you're going for the 100%, it's going to take you a MINIMUM of 30 days anyway, so no rush. Play more, get more experience, and try this again.

After completing every base song + a DLC pack on Easy, Medium, Hard, and some Expert, I'm now able to get rainbow crowns pretty often (on the easiest songs on Easy mode). (And I'm still 10,000 coins away from the 87,600 achievement. So getting the 100% could potentially take quite a bit longer than 30 days, ESPECIALLY if you don't purchase any DLC packs)

You get a Rainbow Crown by getting all Goods in a song.
The easiest song for me was HOMURA Easy in the Anime category.

GravityBiscutI finally got this with Hare Hare Yukai on Easy. It's a short song (about 1:30), the tempo isn't too slow or fast, and most of the notes are on downbeats (counting 1, 2, 3, 4)

EHSThanks GravityBiscut, was able to do it with Hare Hare Yukai as well.

AronGamingThis achievement I ain't fucking ever getting, I am with DivineMaurz, I will gladly pay someone money to get this achievement for me. This achievement is harder than The Flapmaster from Goat Simulator at that's a fucking fact! Out of all of the 89 achievements, they just had to add one FRUSTRATING achievement. angry

I would like to add my guide for this one as this is really the only one that requires "skill" to complete for the 1000G on this game.

IMHO, "Always With Me" from "Spirited Away" in the Anime category is easiest for this. On easy difficulty, this song has no blue notes, so you can keep your finger on just A or X button. The song is not too fast but not too slow either. Homura has lower amount of notes but is a very slow song and timing can be tough to master on a slow song.

To save time for money/song grind later, you may want to put "Special - Perfect" so that if you miss a note, the song is failed immediately and you get +1 for songs and +10 for coins.

Here is my play where I get two OKs (I wanted to record rainbow crown run but video crapped out on me) which can hopefully give you good idea on timing.

    Good luck!

Maw N PawI also used this song. I recommend using 2x speed for this song as it's a reasonable speed for it and I found the faster speeds tend to be a little more forgiving on the note detection for "Good" notes.

capicawlIf I could thumbs up your solution, I would 1,000 times. Perfect song to stay on beat to and just enough speed to not be boring.
