How to unlock the Sampler Plate achievement

    I think we have had enough of the multiple bad guides for unlocking this achievement.

    So here's my in-depth guide on how to unlock this achievement. I will go through all the steps I did. This guide will make sure you unlock this achievement!

    1. Make sure you have played a few songs in "Career Mode" by yourself, and with a few friends on Xbox Live.

    2. Play a few songs in "Quickplay" by yourself, and with a few friends on Xbox Live.

    3. Play each of the online "Competitive" game modes, which are:
    -Pro Face Off
    -Team Pro Face Off
    -Rock Fest
    -Team Pro Rockfest
    -Band vs Band

    "Some people say you only have to play a online 'Band vs Band' match, and you can do skip the rest and go to step four."

    But just in case do all of step three, it doesn't take long anyway.

    4. Get three friends that play the same instrument as you are currently playing and invite them to your "Competitive" party. After they are in your party, press start instead of the orange fret that you use to look for matches online.

    Alternative: You could also hook up four of the same instrument and sign three of them in as guests. If you do this there is no need to invite three friends.

    5. This takes you to a list of game types. Play them all, the team ones and the non-team ones! With the exception of Band vs Band, I didn't need this to acquire the achievement.

    6. If you don't have the achievement yet go in and play some more Rockfest or Team Rockfest online, that might help. Just to be safe I would play all the online game modes at least twice.

    When did my achievement unlock?
    Well I was stuck, couldn't get it to unlock, I played all the online match types, and I played Rockfest and team Rockfest a thousand times.

    My solution was to invite three friends and do what I said in steps four and five. My achievement unlocked after I went through that list with three of my friends!

    You don't have to WIN any of these matches not even the elimination matches, I let my friends win them all when we where boosting and it still unlocked. I didn't even hit notes most of the songs we did, so you can chill and cook some corn dogs while the song is playing!

    zNuttyI can confirm HarpCity’s solution in the comments works - if your achievement glitches, do Band v Band with your main profile on anything but a 360 mic. (Thanks HarpCity!)

    WhiteythereaperGot 4 players on Guitar in a lobby & did individual mode choices & it popped for me after doing a Do or Die, i think the Online searching is the bugged part where the game mode votes may not track properly if you don't vote for the winning mode. We also did a 3v3 band v band first to see if that was the stuck issue & I had done each mode twice beforehand, once with all mics searching for players and once as all guitars with searching, so I think it probably is a problem with the online matchmaking system. If anyone is doing a session for this, definitely do them via the Everyone Play option instead of finding players

    MasterPie917As already mentioned you do need to use a USB mic (doesn't have to be GH) AND you need to win the elimination types in rockfest. It unlocked for two out of the Four people by winning these after having played all the others and the rest unlocked after replaying band VS band with a USB mic

    Thanks to BaldyGamer for pointing this out to me. This came from oxHARMONxo over at x360a.org. I removed a lot of stuff that didn't need to be in here to make it simpler.

    I'm going to make this short and sweet. I can confirm this will work 100% of the time because I have helped several friends obtain this on different occasions and they all got it immediately after the last step was complete.

    *The #1 reason people can't unlock this is because you have to play the different types in a certain order and none of the other guides state this.*

    1. Make sure you have played at least one song in Career and Quickplay by yourself and online with a friend.

    2. Invite at least 1 of your friends to your lobby, DO NOT search for players.

    3. Hit Start and play these in the exact order listed.

    Pro Face Off
    Momentum
    Streakers
    Do Or Die
    Perfectionist
    Elimination
    Rock Fest

    4. After those are complete go back to the lobby, hit Start and do the Team ones but make sure they are in the same order as the ones you just did.

    *NOTE* Unlike what some people have said it doesn't matter if you back out to the lobby by mistake or lose connection to another player. Just make sure you replay the game type if this happens so you don't skip anything and have to redo everything. You don't even have to win, just make sure each instrument plays at least one note.

    5. Chances are the Achievement will unlock after you play Team Rockfest but don't worry if it doesn't. Just set up a standard band [mic, guitar, bass and drums] and hit search for players if you don't have enough to make a 4 person band vs 4 person band. The achievement will unlock at the end of the song, guaranteed. Good luck and I hope this helps the many people having trouble with this!

    JamPound32For me anyway it seemed where it says '' player 1 wins'' at the end instead of your gamertag then it doesn't count.

    I FIGURED IT OUT!!!

    Turns out you need to score in each and every game you play.

    I would also recommend you WIN the elimination game types.

    Here is the list of each game type:

    Career
    Quickplay
    Band vs Band
    Pro Face-off

    Team Streakers
    Do or Die
    Team Do or Die

    I went through the whole list again, this time played OFFLINE and I used 4 mics and did not log in my other 3 controllers.

    I went down the list and played each game type.

    I made sure I scored on each game.

    And after team elimination it unlocked!!!!!!!!1

    BAND VS BAND is the only mode that is required to be played ONLINE.

    wBRYI got this achievement last night and I did not score on any songs. I can verify that you can unlock this achievement without ever scoring a point. I got a zero score every time and it unlocked no prob.
