This is an unmissable achievement as it's part of the story.

After handing in the cat to the little girl she'll ask you to talk to her dad who will ask you to get some lumber, he'll give you an axe for this. After helping him he'll ask you to talk to his dad who is at a pile of rubble, a former clock tower, that you'll have seen earlier in the start, he'll ask you to find some materials in the Great Forest to help in rebuilding the clock tower. Progress farther into the forest and you'll come across your first boss fight after meeting someone before hand, to defeat this boss it's pretty easy.

The boss will attack with branches that will show as red indicators before they come out of the ground, stay ahead of the red indicators and after the second time the weak point of the boss will appear, a large wood worm, which will fire an electrical ball that can do lingering damage on you, get in as many hits as you can and try to avoid being hurt too much by the worm's attack. Rinse and repeat until the boss is dead and the achievement should pop.

SargonParidiusWhat I like about this boss is he is farmable (even if he gets harder to defeat with each progressive match)! Plus, when you get Garoo in your party later, don't forget to go back to defeat him - there is a chest behind the boss which only the merc can get through with his special attack (it is a Strength +1 accessory).

Reina WattAye, did that after teaming up with Garoo, there's also a signpost post and a fishing spot for later in the game by the looks of it as it mentions needing a fishing rod.

CiphriusKaneI just defeated this boss twice. The ingame achievement tracker says I earnt the achievement. But Xbox is saying nope and refusing to award it

Reina WattThat's not good, it should pop up. Sometimes clearing the local save cache and re-syncing a game can force the achievement to unlock as it should or restarting the game, it's quite an annoying glitch that's pretty common.

CiphriusKaneGot it to unlock, had to use a second save file. Gonna be keeping backups of my saves from now on though in case something like this happens again (nae wanting another chievo glitching 10 hours in and having to repeat everything)

Reina WattThat would be a hassle, had to repeat a few requirements before with some games before the achievement will unlock. Killer Instinct 2013 being one such example
