OK, really not that difficult. Get a group of four good Halo players, set the difficulty to Normal / Heroic and start the game. From there on set one player as the heavy weapons guy and he should grab the Spartan laser, fuel Rod, sniper, rockets or whatever other power weapon he can get, (the Spartan Laser spawns on the bench next to the turret gun on the raised platform on the far left at the top) and he should take out all the wraiths every time they drop at the far end of the map. Everyone else should stick together near the top/middle and use team work to take out the Covenant.

    Tips.
Use the Rockets, Sparten Laser or Fuel Rod to take out the Drop ship guns. Also use the battle rifle or Sniper to take out the grunts on the turrets.

There is a Sniper rifle on the top right had raised platform.

Use the pistol to head shot as many grunts as you can from a distance This way the brutes are a little easier to take out as you don’t have to worry about dodging 5-6 plasma grenades .

If you come across a Fuel Rod, save it for a Brute chieftain or wraith.
SMG works best on big groups of bugger, you can rack up a 6 or 7 kill streak with one group if they stay close.

Remember Brute chieftain can still be assassinated even with their invincibility on.

If you get to the bonus round, get 2 people to grab the mounted turrets and take them under the Drop ship, as a TON of Grunts will appear and you should be able to clear them out quickly. Don’t worry dying in this round won’t take away from your overall lives.

    Have fun!

EDIT: people who have voted negitive, can you leave a comment explaing why, so i can change the guide to suit every1. Thanks

I did this solo on easy in 1 hour 35 before the end of the second set, by doing the following:

    - View the weapons and ammo locations map here: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Security_Zone. Note the locations of the health packs and the Spartan Laser (the yellow L).

    - Play any way you like until the 5th wave, where you will be attacked by Brutes with hammers. Grab a hammer and keep hold of it.

    - Once you have a hammer, use the B button to melee all enemies (easy mode means you have a lot of stamina). After the 5th kill, you'll get a Hammer Spree medal and after the 10th you'll get a Dream Crusher medal - these are worth big points, especially later in the game when your ratio is 2+. Once you have 10 kills, use a sticky grenade to kill an enemy and reset your hammer spree, then continue to use the hammer. Repeat this pattern.

    - Only use the energy on your hammer (the RT attack) against other hammer Brutes to conserve ammo.

    - Use the Spartan Laser to destroy Hunters and the Wraiths that periodically spawn at the bottom of the map. Try to do this at the end of a Dream Crusher to maximise your points. The Wraiths pose little threat so take them out at your leisure.

    - Keep your Spartan Laser refreshed when a weapon drop occurs. If you run out of ammo, Fuel Rod guns are the next best thing.

    - Try to stay near the health packs in case you get into trouble. be careful using the tunnels near the spawn points for cover as it's pretty easy to accidently use a health pack when you don't really need it.

    - When the Drones appear, you can either retreat into the spawn point tunnels and use your hammer, or grab a gun turret and get rid of them quickly.

    - You'll find that later skulls like Black Eye, Tilt and Famine do not affect you while you're playing in this style (in fact, Black Eye actually helps you).

If you are a half decent player you can beat any firefight by yourself in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. For me this was a little easier than with a party because you can rack up multi-kills faster by yourself than when you are competing against a team. You can get 200k before set 4 if you play well.

If you suck at this game however. you will need a party to watch your back.

    Tips to get through:

-***The magnum and the plasma pistol are your friends.*** The magnum will one shot kill all enemies in the head if their armor and shields are off. The charged plasma pistol knocks Brutes shields AND armor off, with the exception of Chieftains. You have to shoot the helmet off Chieftains with the magnum to shoot them in the head after you knock their shields down with a plasma pistol. If you can do this, and do it well, you will get the majority of your kills this way.

-Hammers rack up mulit-kills very quickly. Use them strategically and you will get high points.

-Horde heavy weapons. Always keep a rocket launcher or similar heavy weapon someplace you can get to it quickly when Hunters show up.

-Buggers are very annoying. Get them to come to you into an area where their ability to fly is hindered. You can kill them easily then and rack up some nice multi-kills. Buggers killed in ones and twos give crappy points, but in fours and fives they are golden.

-Never camp someplace you can't retreat out of. You will get hammered, grenaded, or cluster f*#@ed if you camp in small spaces..

-Don't attack drop ships! They give you almost no points, you can't kill them, and they are a waste of ammo. It is better to wait till all the Covenant have just jumped off and are in a large group and attack then.

-If you have one enemy left on the map and you can't find them, it is probably a bugger hiding down below a bridge or up on a balcony. I've found them stuck up on balconies twice on this map. Don't give up on a match because you think it glitched. It didn't, buggers are just very annoying like that. Sometimes they will be places you can't kill them. This is rare and you just have to swallow your pride and restart. I finished 2 different firefights because I found the nasty little s*&%s hiding places.

Good luck and don't get frustrated. I personally finished all firefights by myself. You can do it too.
