There are class mods, which amplify the abilities of a certain character, which you will eventually find from drops and some weapon/item crates.

Class mods do have class requirements, so you must find a class mod which applies to whatever character you are playing as. (E.G. You cannot equip a Soldier class mod to Mordecai)

Simply equip the first class mod you find for your character and the achievement will unlock.

    ** SPOILER **
You should get your first class mod after killing Sledge. (Credit to Ruthless Remix)

Nod NolanI got the class mod after killing Sledge and then turning in the task back with Dr Zed in Fyrestone.

It wasn't a pickup, it was a reward for completing the mission.

Vermin360I got a class mod around level 9-10 from a loot drop. Unfortunately, it has a level requirement of Level 22 before I can equip it. sigh.

St Tony22Just like Vermin360, I got it very early (level 9 or 10). Unfortunately it was for a different character and level 26.

You will receive your first class mod after the mission where you kill sledge. It's the quest reward. It should auto-equip, and unlock the achievement.

In general, only bosses will drop class mods. If you can't find any in the main campaign, there's more in the dlc adventures.
