This is the quickest way to get this achievement as normal pickpocketing only gives you 10-30f a time but by bribing the herald then pickpockting him bk you will get 500f easily do twice to get your achievement

****You must have high notoriety to bride the herald****

I've found that just walking around in high areas of people tend to work best.

Just find a courtyard full of people and walk by large groups just tapping A to steal and steal as much as you can and just walk to the next group.

You got to keep moving so you don't get caught just keep hitting up large groups of people. Moving groups work better just walk right into them tapping A until you get the achievement. This method took me about 10 minutes.

Also I found that when you can ask heralds to lower your notoriety do so and then pick pocket them as they will give you large amounts of gold. But doing so makes the heralds run away so use this with caution.

The GlobalizerHolding down A works fine, too -- you'll fast walk, bump into people in the crowd, and pickpocket them without releasing the button.

Tm5kI've had the best success with hitting groups that are walking in the opposite direction. That way, I'm farther away from them by the time they realize they've been pickpocketed. Good tip with just holding down the button Globalizer. That's what I've been doing and it works great.

XanderstrifeI found that if you pickpocket those mailman guys ( Refer to the Mailman achievement) you can get it in all at once. I had some trouble with them because they are ALWAYS moving but it works. Give it a try if you dont have it yet. Those guys have like 1500+ florins on them so if you pickpocket them you get that money towards the pickpocket achievement.

Just press or hold A when you walk past people, as has already been said, however if you want to make life a little easier start doing this right from the start of the game.

In the early stages you don't have a "notoriety meter" to worry about so there is no penalty for picking pockets. It'll earn around 10 to 20 florins per pocket which adds up pretty quickly if you concentrate on groups and spend a little more time on the ground than the rooftops.

I'd hit this before the end of sequence 1 without any trouble.

[Edit] If you've already got too far in the game use N0T0RI0USnFaMuZ's solution (most likely above) for bribing and pickpocketing Heralds @ 500f a time.
