Crimson Guardian achievement in Sonic Superstars

EDIT : For some reason this achievement can be glitched. Some players can unlock this without problem, other had to defeat more than 100 enemies and the worst case is that the achievement simply doesn't unlock.

This is easily done with the boss on Lagoon City Zone Act 1.

This boss spawns pond skaters enemies, and if you hit the boss more than 2 times, it will stop spawning enemies.

As Knuckles, tap

for jump and push

again (and hold) for glide.

Try to glide as low as possible and near the ground to hit most of the enemies. Sometimes you will hit a jumping enemy and that will stop your gliding. Just position yourself again at the end or start of the fight.

The achievement unlocks when you defeat the 100th enemy

So I did the boss method on Lagoon Act 1 with sonic and I definitely did more than 100. It didn’t pop and then later in the day I went back to the boss, did a couple of waves and it popped. Think it’s glitched on terms of counting what is 100 but the achievements do eventually come through. I’m gonna try with knuckles and see how far I get

Okay so that took me 8 minutes lol. I definitely did nowhere near 100, probably got to 50 and I don’t remember doing 50 in the one time I played as knuckles in the bonus level on my first play through as sonic. But it still popped, just be patient I guess

Yes, this is definitely glitched. I’ve spent well over an hour and nothing. I’ve easily killed 500 by gliding. I’m tired of looking at it. I’ll report back if it ever pops another day.

I finally unlocked this today. I’m just gonna throw this out there, but I think the requirements got accidentally changed after the patch. It felt like 1000. I’m also having trouble with the other 100 kill achievements. Tails took me 105 which isn’t bad, but these others are a nightmare.

Weird that this happens except for Tails, but it's not crazy to think your theory of the extra 0 for defeating enemies.

Just for know and trying to understand why this happens:

Do you have the game on disc or digital? Are you the owner (digital)? Are you using Lego Knuckles?

I have the physical copy, and I don’t have Lego Tails. I actually uninstalled a preorder bonus for Lego Robotnick.

I got this today. I have a feeling either deaths reset the count at the boss or any enemies defeated while sliding on the ground or from the underside of knuckles don't count.

Worked totally fine for me. I went through Lagoon City Zone Act 1 and killed most the enemies and the ones the boss spawns and killed the boss cleared the goal sign and repeated. Took me 3 or 4 times and it popped.
