Playing this level on Legendary is very tough, but here are a few tips to get by... in order of importance, not chronological order!

    1. When you see a Revenant parked after the facility, GRAB IT! This is very important in beating the second Covenant AA gun.

    2. When you reach the SECOND Covenant AA gun, take out a few enemies, then fly to the back of the damaged bridge to the south of the gun. Every time I flew there, it updated the Checkpoint. This will save you a lot of wasted time.

    3. At the second AA gun, use the Revenant to take out the Wraith, with the trees and boulders as a barrier between you. It will take a long, long time on Legendary, about 20 direct hits from the Revenant... but once you destroy the Wraith, grab a checkpoint and you won't have to worry about him again... and you still have your Revenant.

    4. At the first AA gun, leave the AI on the gun and just keep driving in. It's really luck for you to come out alive, so just keep hitting the checkpoints until you survive. Don't take the gun yourself, the useless AI will just drive you directly into 1-hit kill hell.

Good luck. These tips are probably unnecessary on easier levels.

You win this achievement by playing the 5th level: Tip of the Spear. This is the level that starts out with the huge battle scene and everyone in warthogs.

A couple of pointers on this...(besides the always "Work slow, take your time")

    1) Take out the turrents 1st and formost whenever you see one. These things will just own sneaking to the side and pick the guy off is a must. The AI WILL hop in and fill in the spot, so once you clear it, watch it for the next 20 seconds and clear out anyone that hops in it.

    2) take the warthog into the center and clear out all the enemies. Your mission is to get to the tower and disable it...we threw grenades into the main structure and ~2 take it out, you can also shoot it if you have an AR. Hop back in the Warthog and continue with it until your cross the bridge. And clear through the building (see extra achievement below)

    3) Keep in your ghost as long as you can. You will come to a vast open area, and using that to get around and pick off players is a must.

[Part two of the video, check the youtube page]

    4) In the helicopter station, if you are Co-Op, only one player needs to survive. Just prioritize, the gunners [co-op only] need to hit the people, the grenadiers need to hit the turrets. Work QUICKLY through them and aim as far up the canon as you can.

PROTIP: If you hold the trigger the grenade with only explode once you let it go, notice the arrow that cycles around your sights, turning yellow once it reaches the right side...this also releases an EMP blast. you are better off with short taps of the trigger so they will explode shortly after contact with the ground.

    5) Continue through the level until you reach the large building at the end. In co-op, have one person stand on the bottom level right by the teleport up. On the top level, take advantage of your grenades, and work around quickly. In the video it shows him easily killing the Elite w/ Sword...but in ours he just stood there with a box between me and him, and I put 150+ rounds of my AR into his head and his shields would instantly charge...we finally beat him because he accidentally flew off the side of the tower.

Also, if you work quickly enough, this achievement is available about 3/4 of the way through the level. [@11:15 of part one is when you see him in the video]

It's better if you hijack a banshee right before the spire then just fly it up to the top to avoid all the fighting below. you'll still fight that elite and those grunts but thats much easier than fighting everyone down below.

Mission 5 – Tip of the Spear

Mission starts at 0:34:28 in the walkthrough video below.

Again, I would highly advise watching the video for this as you can skip a great deal of fighting if you know a few shortcuts. I’ve never speedrun this mission in my life, and after watching RC Master’s video, it was relatively easy to take a few shortcuts. However, there is a rather large shortcut that involves going across the supports to the central structure at one point. DO NOT take this shortcut, unless you plan to replay the mission for the Heretic Leader achievement. Instead, go through the structure, and pick up a needle rifle along the way from the Jackals. At one point, you’ll walk down a set of broken stairs that drop off into a courtyard below. Going onto these steps triggers the Heretic Leader to spawn on the far side, so walk down them, but do not drop off. Back up onto the building again, and shoot across the courtyard at him. Killing him nets the "Your Heresy Will Stay Your Feet" achievement.

Continue on, and at mission completion, you will unlock "To War" for finishing on normal or higher.
