How to unlock the Weapons Expert achievement

You will earn a total of 38,000 P.E.C. points. Only 26,900 P.E.C. points are required to obtain all the upgrades, uniforms, and camouflage variants. Which leaves you with 11,100 P.E.C. points to spend on the various unlockable weapons and uniforms, such as the Collector's edition Shadow Armor, the MP7A1, SCAR, et cetera.

Naturally, you earn P.E.C. points by completing P.E.C. challenges in offline, or online play.

DLC/Preorder/Uplay exclusive weapons DO NOT count towards this achievement. You do not need to upgrade them to get it. Big thanks to Kung Fu Riki for figuring this out.

One last random bit of info here, you'll retain all your weapons if you use scene select.

loco alien 505I just thought I'd leave a comment here now that the Online servers have been announced to be shutting down for Splinter Cell Conviction for anyone who may or may not need this information.

There is only ONE Challenge that requires an upgrade, and that is the "Mark Mastery" Splinter Cell challenge which you unlock by neutralizing 4 enemies with a single Mark & Execute, which is worth 500 points for upgrades.

There are a combined total of 38,000 Upgrade Points, meaning 37,500 upgrade points are possible to obtain without buying a single upgrade for anything.

I also managed to unlock every single Online and Co-Op achievement (including the DLC) without buying a single upgrade.

While it is possible to get nearly every achievement in the game without buying a single upgrade (as I managed to pull it off), I would recommend having as many upgrades as possible because some of the achievements (especially difficulty related ones, the survival game mode ones, the DLC ones, and the one where you have to beat an entire co-op level without being detected) are more difficult without Upgrades.

Also, another way to do this, and any other achievement relating to P.E.C. points, is to (if you haven't already) upgrade all uniforms, get the achievement, then QUIT TO THE DASHBOARD before pressing B.

When you go back into the game, the uniforms will not be upgraded, but you will still have the achievement and all the points you spent earlier back. This is a good method for saving points.

To get all upgrades for all weapons, It cost me around 17,000 points, after I already had an upgraded Five-Seven pistol and MP3-S03 anyway.

MakkerWhy are people negging this? A mate of mine bought all the upgrades for all the "extra content" he had available and got to the end of the game realising he didn't have enough points to get this achievement. The Ogley's solution saved him from having to start over and earn 17,000 points again to get this achievement.
