Again, just adding the links needed for some people. These are the level guides found on the Doom Wiki. (I have used them and they prove to be very useful.) Just click on the 'Episode' your on and then the level. May the Super Shotgun be with you.

    "No Rest for the Living"

EDIT: As someone asked, you have to complete both campaigns on Ultra-Violence or higher before this achievement pops up. Also, you do not have to do the secret levels as well, those are optional.

MMMDII did what Crimson mentioned and I had no problems. I finished "Hell on Earth" and kept a save from the final stage (I saved it towards the bottom of the save slots list to prevent any accidents), and then I finished "No Rest for the Living" - achievement unlocked, and I didn't do a single secret stage.

RatpoizenDoes anyone know the max ammo for each weapon? I have been getting 100% for everything on every level so far and I'm on level 16 but my plasma/bfg gun don't hold the same ammo as people I've seen playing.

SmokingBmbr465@Ratpoizen I believe that if you get the ammo backpack, it doubles your ammo capacity.

Superior Firepower requires patience and complete knowledge on every map that you play on. If you do not know your way around the maps of Doom II, I recommend that you play through on the lowest difficulty first so you can discover all of the secret areas and weapon caches.

Your best friend for this achievement is Doom II's save feature, which allows you to save at any time. I suggest you do this often. Every time you pass a difficult part, or gain full health, save your game. Even if you smell that your about to walk into a trap, save your game. It saves you much frustration of having to start the whole level over again from the beginning, with way less ammo.

Let monsters come to you, most of the time they are hiding in close quarters. Fight them on your terms, not theirs.
Always remember that there is no shame in running away to regroup. Always remember where the health packs are that you might pass so you can run to them in a time of need, they can save you from a painful death.

On Ultra-Violence difficulty, every monster is deadly in their own right. You will need every pick-up you can find to make it through this, so make sure you find everything.

Finally, here is a guide (not made by me, I don't take credit for it) that will help you find the secret areas in the game. (Does not include the "No Rest for the Living" campaign.)

Hopefully my solution helps people unlock this achievement. Good luck!

Pedle ZelnipYeah I was going to say if you deleted your save + cache, odds are you also deleted any record of beating the base game, hence would not get this achievement.

    Some general tips:

    - Save often; after every room if you're doing well. Always immediately save at the beginning of a level as there's often enemies in the starting room.

    - Try and keep your saves from the last few levels, in case you need to repeat a level to retain better kit for a subsequent harder level.

    - Use sprint almost constantly. You can outrun all enemies so don't be afraid to retreat to cover, or a bottleneck so you can pick them off one-by-one.

    - Armour is the most important thing. Don't pick up a big armour boost if you have almost full armour; wait until you need it.

    - Don't go through the exit until you've cleaned up all the ammo/health/armour you can find to help you out in the next level.

    - The Super Shotgun is pretty much your go-to weapon, but switch to whatever is about to top out on ammo if you can, so you're making the most of the ammo available.

    - Don't ever continue from a death - it clears all your weapons/armour/ammo and also any ammo increases you have picked up (backpacks). Reload instead.
