Circus freak - Noir - Goblin (difficulty Hard)

The Noir Goblin is an actual freak and it shows. Especially with the tablet fragment.

Now a gargantuan scaly monstrosity, the Goblin roars with the best of them.

B attack Goblin but don't land that hit! Press A to jump over him (I pretty much mash the button to make sure) and start hitting his backside (X for quickness is recommended). Watch for his shoulders to hunch and arms rise up and jump away or be hit by his ground pound. If you don't want to look for it, then to be safe, land only about 4 X hits. But I suggest you still keep an eye out as Goblin is pretty agile.

Goblin will keep moving so don't get frustrated if you find you've zipped over/under him instead. Just be glad you didn't get hit by him.

One hit from this scaly giant will lower your lifebar significantly enough that you can't take a second (at least for difficulty Hard and no health bar upgrades). Thankfully, Noir Spidey regens health. Just zip up to the rafters and zip around to avoid Goblin's power blast waves until you recover. (I recommend upgrading health regen for less wait time frustration.)

After half a dozen or so successful attacks, depending on how successful ;), you'll see the lights go dark and you'll be up in the rafters with Goblin lurking underneath looking for you. Keep away from the roaming spotlights and zip to a spot over the Goblin. When you see the takedown B prompt, press B and enjoy Goblin getting a nice comeuppance that dishes out major damage.

Jump back up to the rafters and get ready to jump as Goblin starts pounding the ground for your attention. If you noticed before, there are four wooden poles placed around the circus ring. Goblin will end up using all of them.

One swing with that makeshift club and you're dead. There is a way to hit him though, but first wait Goblin out a bit. Each time Goblin's about to pound down on the ground, jump. This will avoid the shock that comes with the pound which unsportingly damages you for a nice chunk of health.

Keep doing this until Goblin has thrown two of the four poles at you. He will keep the third and just incessantly pound until you stop him. Which you do by making him hit you.

Or try to hit you.

Jump down to the ground and run towards Goblin. Jump over his head and start circling back a bit. This pass will cause Goblin to wind up and try to hit you with that big stick. Keep far enough away to avoid that hit (no shockwave from this one, thankfully) and run around to hit his backside. After about five X hits, Goblin will shake himself off. Run! Back up to the rafters preferably. Goblin will do a 360 degree swing to try to get you and then resume his pounding drill. Repeat this about another six times and the lights will dim again.

Do the same takedown drill as before.

And then prepare for some footwork. When the lights come back up, you'll be on the ground (no matter if you had ziplined back up or not) surrounded by Goblin's goons who will try to gang up on you. Thankfully they can't climb. Jump back up to the rafters but lead them towards the Goblin. The Goblin will take that last pole and continue his pound session...

Regardless of who's beside him. ;)

If you're lucky, he'll take down all the goons for you before throwing that last pole away (at you). And you can take him down like you did in the beginning of the fight with no interruptions from others.

(If you didn't manage to take out all the goons, you may want to redo the fight. The henchmen converge fast and you will have a very hard time getting the Goblin where you want him with that crowd. But dying by them will do the same, so this suggestion is just to save you frustration.)

Once you've whittled Goblin down, enjoy a human cannon performance from Spidey and grab that fragment!

Congrats!
