There IS a solution to this chievo. However, TA as of right now does NOT give it anymore than the standard 10 points due to its history.

Here's how I did it. Load up a new game and set it on easy. Now this is for learning all recipes. Pick up everything that isn't nailed down and sell sell sell. Buy every recipe from merchants EVERY time you come across them, and complete ALL side quests as the majority of them give 1 or even 2 recipes as a reward. You CAN backtrack, BUT, you'll need to understand where you are if you do.

If you make it to the tower where you teleport, go ahead and through the tunnels to the last relic after you open the locked door. Once you have that last relic, a point of reference, if you've not collected at least 85 recipes, I'd hoof it back to the teleport and get back to Thornaria. Now, from Thornaria you can backtrack as far back as the ice cave, AND going the other way you can back track all the way to the Cliffside Monestary. Now the bridge will be down at the Monastary so there's no going back. If you need access to the Jungle and East Beach, hoof it once again back to the teleporter, follow the tunnels out, and spoiler, you come out at the road to the Monastary. Then just follow the path to the Forgotten temple which will take you to the ice cave where the gate will be down. I found all this out, as I had NOT collected all Belair artifacts and the reward for doing so was a recipe.

Doing this should get you enough scrolls to finish the game and import your character to the dlc.

The original game had 93 recipes to be found, but due to bad coding and making two potions the same within the code, this was an unachievable achievement. The DLC, Fall of Setarrif, has more recipes. How many I do not know, BUT, when I started the DLC I came in with 80 on hand and I had inadvertently learned 3, so that was 83. Right HERE is about when you should make the connection that you need to come INTO the dlc with all recipes in hand, having not learned any, or an extremely small amount of them. I missed the couple from Momma Hooka or whatever her name is in Tooshoo. Any way, when I got to what I though was near the end of the dlc, I counted out 98 on hand plus my 3 learned. I then started going through and learning them and waddaya know, the chievo popped.....with recipes left to guess how many? 8! Yes 8 left, meaning that you need to learn 93 RECIPES. It works, I have video of it, just need to figure out where and how to post it.

Now the problem. The final achievement, Geek, did NOT unlock. This is for unlocking all other achievements....which I have...all online. So....I am going to finish the dlc and see if that kicks it into unlocking. Here's hoping.
