I used the GameFAQ guide, seemed pretty good.

A few small tips about the game in general.

Most parts can be skipped by pressing the 'start' button, that includes cut-scenes (e.g getting in/out of car), speech, typewriter effect text, the pop-up screen when you pick something up, etc. Though I don't suggest skipping cut-scenes or story related stuff as it would seriously take away much of the enjoyment from the game.

The typewriter effect text can be speed up by holding down B button.

You can move through doors slightly faster if you sprint into and whilst sprinting 'open' them. it avoids the lengthy 'cautious' animation, playing a faster one.

You will get cards for doing side-quests, fishing at the fishing spots (catch the pink box) or by simply collecting them. A few cards have to be collected by replaying the "other-world" section in specific locations.

There's a great guide in the Forum of!
I thought that this has to be shared with our community.

It's a good guide with good hints from various gamers so all credits are going to them!

Hint: In chapter 18 I was able to get 40 Trading Cards - so you should focus on this chapter for most of the cards. Look at the following links for the side-quests and the best chapter selection.

Peter TiddCan I finish the game then collect cards by replaying levels or is it best just to get them while playing through

LizardKingv666It's better to replay levels. But don't forget to finish the level to save your progress (there is no save-feature during the chapter-replay). You can replay certain chapters for trading cards and/or special weapons. After you complete the chapter you can go on with your playthrough and use the things you got from the sidequests (you should do this for the hard difficulty).

Before going for all of the trading cards I would highly suggest waiting until Episode 7 - Chapter 26, right before doing the "Great Deer Yard Hotel" mission. You will have access to all of the cards except for the final one. Once here, simply use "Chapter Select" to revisit any area or circumstance

Getting the Radio and Weather Doll will save you quite a bit of time in the long run. The Radio allows quick travel to main locations that you have discovered and the Weather Doll allows you to make it rain when it is used.
    Radio location (Side Quest #5)
Weather Doll location (Side Quest #8)
If you are having issues getting it to rain, try loading up Chapter 7, saying no to dinner, and sleeping until it rains during the 21:00 hour.

The guides over at are extremely useful.

The only time you can get in to George's house to get card No. 62 Stuffed Deer is during Episode 6 - Chapter 24.

You can only keep items that are obtained during "Chapter Select" by completing the chapter.

Keep a supply of Cigarettes, they allow you to advance in-game time at an accelerated pace.

The Fishing Rod is available for purchase at the Great Deer Yard Hotel (Polly).

Once you have collected cards 1-64, complete the "Great Deer Yard Hotel" mission then follow the instructions for getting No. 65 SWERY.
