Complete Sequence One: Peace at Last

The first sequence is pretty scripted. It acts as the introduction to the story, and is mostly filled with "previously..", introductions, tutorials and trivial tasks in comparison to the rest of the game. There are no secondary tasks or missions, and in layman's terms its a walk in the park.

Memory One - Mass Exodus

Keeping moving forward or following the indicators and this memory will fly past. Use Eagle Vision to see a way up at the start, and use the tutorial tips displayed on the screen if your new to the climbing and movement mechanics.

Follow Mario Auditore out and make an escape. You will have a couple of combat encounters and a bit of rooftop free run, but as long as you follow the tips and indicators, you won't have any difficulties.

Memory Two- Homecoming

Ride your horse alongside Mario into Monteriggioni. This memory is pretty straight forward. Keep alongside Mario and it will play out by itself.

At this point there are three memories that are open to Etzio within and around Monteriggioni. They can be completed in any order, and the game continues to Memory Six when all three are completed.

Memory Three - R & R

R & R is started by approaching the woman standing next to the box of flowers, inside the gates of Monteriggioni. A simple courier mission. Pick up the box of flowers, and follow the woman to the drop off location.

Memory Four - Horsing Around

Horsing Around is started by approaching the man just outside the gates of Monteriggioni. Another no-brainer. The horse is running back and fourth along the path a little bit further outside the gates. Catch up to and mount the horse. If your having troubles, try and keep the horse from running off by quickly blocking its route when it turns to run past you. Once you mount the horse, bring it back to the stables.

Memory Five- Target Practice

You can start Target Practice by talking to the Cannoneer along the wall of Monteriggionoi. If your having troubles climbing the wall, there are two lifts that will take you up to the west of the gates.

The first part of this memory is pretty simple. Head to the guard tower further along the wall to find the engineer, and escort him back.

The second half is a cannon tutorial. Aim the cannon using the marker that appears on the ground where the cannonball is going to land, and fire on the targets. Take out five targets to complete the memory.

Memory Six - Reunion

Hardly a level. Just a cinematic, followed by a brief run up the stairs to Etzio's room, before another cinematic leading into the next memory.

Memory Seven - Vilified

Memory Seven starts with a cinematic leading on from the end of Memory Six. When Etzio jumps on his horse, just focus on moving forward. The level crumbles around you to only provide a single route, and the camera will move around corners to make it clear which way to go. Eventually your horse will fall at Etzio will automatically jump to a beam. When you regain control, follow the beams along to the left around the corner, and on to the lower wall. Attempt to climb the ladder, and when a cannonball tears part of the wall off, use the damaged wall to climb up. Head left and down to the cannon indicated.

This is pretty much the only reason you did a cannon tutorial. Use the cannon to defend the wall. You will be shown a health bar for the wall, and the number of people left to flee Monteriggioni. You want to have the number hit 0 before the wall is destroyed.

- Only fire at the cannons. The basic infantry and towers are too far out of range to be an issue and are a waste of time.
- You can easily fire in the middle of two cannons to take out two in one hit.
- With increased skill, you can take out three cannons in one cannonball. Position the marker so it is directly over a cannon, and if the marker crosses over both sides onto another cannon, you might hit all three.

Eventually you will be told to take care of soldiers that have managed to get onto the wall. Follow the wall along towards the target until you come to a side tower. Use the lift to get to the top, before jumping in to the battle below. As you kill soldiers, soldiers ahead of you will defeat your men and join in, but you want to slowly be moving along the wall to the other side.

- The first brute enters the fight after you have killed all but one of the soldiers on the far end near the tower entrance. He can easily be killed if you continue a kill-streak.
- The second brute enters the fight when the first has been taken out, and can be quickly stopped by picking up the first brute's weapon and throwing it by holding down X.

As soon as you defeat the second brute, a cinematic will play moving into Memory Eight.

Memory Eight - Emergency Exit

When you regain control of Etzio, you will be attacked by soldiers. Fight them off, or let your men do all the work. They won't have any troubles by themselves.

Follow the marker to and up the stairs of Villa Auditore to Claudia Auditore, where you will need to protect and escort her to and through the secret tunnel.

- There are a lot of soldiers around, but once again, your men are more then capable of handling themselves.
- The only soldiers that need to be killed to continue the memory are the ones attacking Claudia. This includes the marked soldier when you get to her, and others that may attack along the way.

Once you get to the secret tunnel it is a simple walk to the others, followed by a cinematic and the completion of Sequence One.
