Not that I think it should matter but for any who are curious I did this using default controls (I didn't use the D-pad control option)

First and foremost I don't believe there is a trick to making this easy or even easier. The best way you can work on getting his achievement is practice...practice and more practice.

I got 36 TPM on Radical variant after more than a few tries. The trick is to rotate and slide the blocks (when they've hit bottom) as little as possible. Initially, I tried the gravity variant figuring I may buy some time by having cascades give me some easy lines (Note that Radical variant does not have gravity / cascasdes). However, what I found there was that even on level 15 and slamming the pieces down, that would not produce quite the same TPM (30-31 avg for me on Gravity) as it did on Radical (33-34 avg TPM for me). Not to mention on Radical I didn't have to slam the pieces down (they seem to come quicker than gravity on 15 as well) which would at times mess me up because I'd inadvertently slide the block over left or right as well as down.

This is not as hard as it may initially seem. If you can 100% the game (all variants and marathon on level 15 complete) then you should be able to get this too but just with a little more effort / skill required to do it.

If you down vote the solution please let me know why. There really isn't a sure fire solution, you just have to be fast.
