After I finished the game, I still hadn't unlocked this achievement so I went to the Ungdo Flower Patch (as mentioned in Minarchist's solution) but didn't find any enemies there at all (day OR night), so that might only be an area that spawns enemies before you've won the game.

In any regard, I found another area that works quite well for getting this done:

In the Tanay Mafta Mine City (top right section of the map), you can return to the Four Windmills Hill area and the only enemies that will have respawned there will be two of the dog-creatures.

Once you enter the area, avoid the dogs and run past them. Keep commanding the Majin to "Follow" you and he should end up turning his back to the dogs - leaving him perfectly open for one of them to jump on him. You can then run up to him, jump up and hit the dog of his back. Keep repeating this process as much as you can to rack up your "helps" of the Majin.

Eventually he may ingore your Follow command and end up killing the dogs. In that case, you can just exit the area, activate the save statue that is right there (I would just enter and exit the "change costume" screen) and go back in the area and the dogs will be there again.

I was able to help the Majin 8 times before he killed the dogs on his own and then went to the save statue and re-entered and helped him 3 more times (at which point I unlocked the achievement), so you should easily be able use this area to get however many "helps" you need to reach 30.

I accidentally found a great place to quickly knock this achievement out. When you've beaten Caprakan and you're travelling back North to find the Majin's lightning power, make a quick detour once you reach the Magalo Forest Checkpoint. MAKE SURE IT IS NIGHTTIME. Head back the way you originally came at the beginning of the game, toward the castle. You want the next screen over, the Ungdo Flower Patch (the one where you were first introduced to the catapult).

When you first enter from the west, you'll see two weak (shieldless) enemies. Quickly dispatch them. By the time you're done, the three "soul sucker" enemies on the east side of the map have probably spotted you...so let them go to town! The idea here is to not attack them at all (they'll ignore you), and wait for one of them to open up his chest and suck the Majin's power. Then, strike the enemy once to save the Majin. Do this 30 times (or probably less, since you've likely saved him a bit before you got to this point). The achievement will pop as soon as you save him 30 times; you don't have to finish the fight to see it.

I had saved him ~12 times up to this point (I'd just popped the lesser version of this achievement), and this only took me about three minutes. It's super fast.

DrakendenThe best way to do that is to actually throw a rock using LB + X on the enemy when he's sucking the Majin's power. You encounter these enemies 4 times during the game, each time after defeated one of the generals. Just command the Majin to follow you without attacking so he doesn't kill them. You will recognize the enemies when you hit them and they release red crystals on every hit.

The name escapes me, but there's a place, in the beginning of the game, where you will come upon a boulder that sits on a ledge. To the left of that ledge is three or four enemies.

By the time you cleared out the place, neither the boulder nor those monsters will be there. Instead, however, in their place will be three jelly-like enemies waiting in hiding. You need to get them to spot you. You and the Majin should fight them. You won't be able to kill them, so they'll be there until you command the Majin to roar. One or two of those creatures will try to siphon the Majin's energy behind his back. Go ahead and hit one of them and then hit the other one if he's also causing pain to the Majin. They will try to strike at you, so just evade their attacks until they focus again on the Majin.

This place is perfect to grind for your Majin Knight achievement, as well as the one before it. Have fun and good luck!

PS: I should also mention that it needs to be nighttime before those creatures can appear. They won't appear in daylight, but in total darkness instead. So wait a good fifteen minutes (real-life time, not the game time) until darkness settles in.
