Chapter One

- After speaking to Mrs Dalton and reading David’s instructions, go back to Sam’s bedroom and take the picture of her parents out of her backpack.
- Go into the garage and look at Sam’s bike.
- In Oxford town centre look at the Windy Dog pub sign or try the door.
- Inside the Black Wand, look at the tall shop shelf beside the game machine.
- After obtaining ‘The Betrayer’s Price’ riddle from the game machine speak to Mephistopheles about ‘The Scholars’ Heart’ and ‘Winning the Game’.

Chapter Two

- Buy flowers from the vendor in Oxford town centre. Return to Dread Hill House and swap the dead roses in the main lab for fresh flowers. Put the other half of the flowers in the drinking glass in Sam’s bedroom.
- Talk to the guide in Christ Church Cathedral. Exhaust his conversation options.
- After finding out what happened to David using the library computer, talk to Mrs Dalton about ‘The Accident’. (Make sure that accessing the library computer is NOT the last thing you accomplish in the chapter or you will be unable to do this.)

Chapter Three

- Look at the filing cabinet which Sam organised in Chapter 2.
- Look at the whiteboard in David’s private lab.
- Look at Laura’s dress bag in David’s closet.
- Open the top and middle dresser drawers in David’s closet.

Chapter Four

- On the second floor of St Edmund Hall look at the door to room 202. Click on the lower section of the lock (labelled ‘knob’) twice.
- Whilst exploring Charles’ room look in his desk drawer.
- Whilst exploring Harvey’s room look at his film gear.
- Whilst exploring Helena’s room look in her desk drawer.
- When Helena catches you in her room chat with her about 'Malik', 'Angela', 'Harvey’s Screenplay' & 'Charles’ Picture'. (If you haven’t done what is needed to talk to her about these topics yet, come back when you have.)
- In the Alice in Wonderland gift shop look at the history board, look at the postcard rack & look at and click on the Mad Hatter poster.
- Once you’ve acquired the Hogwarts Invitation, go to the Bodleian and ask the librarian about it. From here head to Christ Church and attempt to enter Christ Church Hall.

Chapter Five

- Go into David’s closet and look at Laura’s dress bag.
- In David’s private lab use the computer. Go into ‘My Files’ and open ‘Experiment Report No. 1’.
- In the first area of Timmons Park by the bridge - the Kissing Tree - look at both trees either side of the bench and examine the carvings on them both.

Chapter Six

- Successfully perform ‘Cup & Ball Psychic’ on the Maintenance Man and get him out of your hair.
- Once Mrs Dalton has returned to the kitchen - and you’ve looked at your bike in the garage - talk to her about ‘The Bike’.
- After David agrees to move the time of the experiment return to the Black Wand and talk to Mephistopheles about ‘Tonight’s Experiment’.
- In Christ Church Hall look at the certificate above the fireplace.
- Once you’ve explored the tower you will need to return to the kitchen to speak to Mrs Dalton. Whilst there take some flour from the rear counter. Then go back to the top of the tower and use it on the smudge.

Chapter Seven

- Whilst David is searching Sam’s bedroom open her backpack and look at her copy of Frankenstein.
- After making the phone call to Virginia Foster Care services return to Sam’s room and look at the photo of her parents.

Chapter Eight

- Head to the front of the club - the Public Bar - and speak to the bartender, the patrons and the Trickster. Ask them all about ‘What Happened at Oxford’. You must do this BEFORE looking at the newspaper.
- In the basement Spades room open the Iron Maiden and look at the proffered information box.
- Leave the basement through the six of diamonds door. Re-enter the club and speak to the Trickster about the ‘Basement Riddle’.

At this point the Achievement should pop without having to actually finish the game.
