How to unlock the Extended Super achievement

    If you read the "Chaos Master" achievement guide, you'll see that you need to collect seven Chaos Emeralds. Doing so will allow you to transform into Super Sonic provided that you collect 50 rings first.

    As soon as you jump after collecting 50 rings you'll turn into Super Sonic and you will be a lot faster, you can jump higher and you are also invincible to everything except falling down pits and being crushed. However being so strong makes your rings deplete 1 every second. When your ring count reaches 0 you will turn back into normal Sonic.

    So in order to get this achievement you will need a minimum of 60 rings - then either play through the level as normal until you get it or just stand still and let yourself run out of rings.

    Cpt ElishaIf you transform before you get 60 rings, don't panic, collecting rings as Super Sonic will allow you more time as well; as long as you last 60 seconds it doesn't matter.

    SilentRich69Getting the chaos emeralds is the hardest part after that get 60 rings press AA and bingo.

    thanatos8285It's weird that they put a whole extra achievement in for gathering essentially 10 coins. There's already an achievement for going Super Sonic in general, so you already had to gather the chaos emeralds and 50 rings for that. To get this, you just need an extra 10 rings. Should've made it 2 minutes or something.

    You will first need to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds in the game. Once done you will have the ability to transform into Super Sonic, and you will get this achievement if you haven't got it...

    To transform into Super Sonic, simply collect and hold 50 rings then press and hold the jump button. You will be invulnerable and you will have extreme speed! This ability is limited though, as each second decreases your amount of rings. Once the rings have dropped to 0, you will lose your ability.

    To earn this achievement you will need at least 60+ Rings. That means you need 50 to transform into Super Sonic, and at least 10 more to last for a minute. I would suggest you collect more to save yourself losing out on the achievement.

    Just to advise, Tails does NOT have a super mode in Sonic 2. So if you’re planning on doing this, DO NOT use Tails only
