  There is talk that ONline does not count toward you total. I have 501 ONline and 215 OFFline and no ach. So if you are having trouble just do road rages with the Inferno Van.
  
  EDIT: Online takedowns only count if there is an event ( Race, Freeburn Challenge, Etc.. ) active. So if you aren't seeing results try that out. You will see the actual count in total takedowns.

  Maybe its just me but I think the description for this achievement is slightly misleading.
  I think it ought to say:
  Get 500 Takedowns (online *or* offline).
  
  ie. You only need 500 offline takedowns OR 500 online takedowns, not both.
  
  As Bleakdestiny said, you'll get this when you're playing through the offline missions to get your license, especially if you do a bunch of road rage and marked man missions.

  Do they count towards each other? For example, if I have 250 online and 250 offline does it unlock?
