Onslaught Mode is the most recent DLC put out on June 22nd for the PS3 and PC, and on June 24th for the Xbox 360. For those who are unaware of what Onslaught Mode is, here is a brief explanation. Onslaught is a combination of Horde type games, and Conquest and Rush. There are 3-4 flags on a map, just like Conquest, and like Rush, the next flag is locked until you take control of the first flag. As you try to take control of the flags, hordes of enemy AI from regular infantry to Havoc Attack Helicopters are all sent in for you to fight. The enemy will keep coming and spawning at the current flag till you take control of it. It is also a time trial in the sense that you are timed for how long it takes you to beat the map. Then you can go and try to beat that time in multiple play throughs. Essentially that is Onslaught in a nutshell. Now onto the review

AI - Unlike the SP, where the AI pretty much stood around waiting to be killed and did the same thing each play through, the AI in Onslaught mode is pretty smart. They will flank you, destroy buildings you are in, attack helicopters will try and single out the engineers first, and they will do everything they can to take you out.

Gameplay - The gameplay is just like the MP, quite smooth, and always hectic and intense. Dont expect much if any change in the gameplay from MP to Onslaught.

Maps - There are only four maps in Onslaught, and all of them we have played already hundreds of times in the MP. They are Atacama Desert, Valparaiso, Nelson Bay, and Isla Innocentes, though while we have played them many many times, the maps have a different....feel I guess is the word to them in Onslaught. Maybe its the time of day changes they put in. Nelson Bay is no longer at night time, while Valparaiso is, with Atacama Desert being set during dusk with sand blowing lowering visuals. Not sure, but Onslaught does offer a new experience on these maps though.

Price - As I said earlier, it is 800 MSP, or $10, some will find this price too high for the content in Onslaught, others will find it just right. I cant speak for everyone here, but I found the price to be worth it, as I have had a lot of fun on it. Others wont find the price justified, this comes down to your value of a dollar, and its up to you to decide.

Difficulty - Just like there are 4 maps, there are also 4 difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Hardcore. I have only played Easy and Hardcore, so Im not sure how tough Normal and Hard are, but Easy is just...well, theres no challenge there with Easy, as you can jump in with a squad who doesn't talk and still win. Hardcore on the other hand, you're going to need a good squad that communicates in order to win. HC just like in the MP, removes and gives you a limited HUD. No health regeneration as well, so a medic is necessary. Depending on the difficulty the game may be over within 5-10 min, or 30-35 min.

Achievements - Achievements are fairly simple, all they are, are beating each map on any difficulty and hardcore and add an extra 120 to the game.

Replay Value - The replay value may not be as much as the MP, it is still fairly high, especially on the days you have no one online and wanna screw around, booting up Onslaught can be fun. Or just the times when you wanna screw around with friends and try to beat each other.

Wrapping up
+Nice new game mode
+Easy achievements
+Intense Co-op game play
+Great addition to the BF series
+Smart AI
+Fun maps
+Points do not count towards MP ranking, so no boosting
+Can be really difficult on higher difficulty
-Points not counting towards MP rank makes them pointless and there for bragging rights
-4 Maps we've played hundreds of times
-Price may be not worth it for some

Overall Score 4 1/2, but will round up to 5 stars since there is no half option

There's one thing I forgot to mention, is that this game is BF's Co-op, and because of it, your squad has to stay alive or keep at least one person alive in order to win. If your entire squad gets wiped out, you lose, and have to start back over.
