As there's no review for this DLC, and because I just finished it yesterday (as of writing this), I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. I will also share no comparison to the other DLC as I am yet to play that (again, as of writing this) so will review the DLC on its own merits.

The Teeth of Naros takes you to a brand new location in KoA which is funnily enough called The Teeth of Naros. You start the quest through volunteering to go on some sort of expedition to the teeth, and then through a little starter tour in a tunnel/dungeon you eventually arrive at Secandra's camp. This starter tunnel is also where the main story of the DLC properly starts, which eventually unravels itself more and more as you progress.

From here on out you are opened up to The Teeth of Naros and are able to explore at your leisure. Of course you are directed to go to locations because of the story, which is more than likely what you will do. As a new zone to KoA it is a nice area. I wouldn't say it is huge though, but it has everything it needs for what is in the DLC. The new floating city of Idylla is well designed and isn't too daunting in terms of getting around. It's probably the sewers below the city where you'll be getting a little confused. This large winding dungeon like space goes on and on and there are treasures and secrets to be found. You will be made to go in this area at some point but a bit of exploration will reveal a lot more unseen areas. Be sure to check that out. If there was any more in the main zone then it would probably just be unneeded space. As well as this it is easy to get around because of how spaced out the locations are. On the world map the zone is simply tagged on to the edge of the main map in its own kind of mini map. It is well presented and it is just as easy as ever to go back to Amalur whenever you wish.

One of the things I liked most about the DLC was the introduction of a brand new kind of species/race, the Kollossae. These giants with stone flesh were a good addition to the game as they had an interesting history and looked the part to match. There were a mixture of main characters too and they all played their part well in the story. They maybe could have added a few more characters that stayed throughout the main plot for variety, but the ones shown were still good nonetheless. I don't want to name too many names in case of revealing too much.

I personally, rather enjoyed the main questline. As it progressed, you learn more and more of the history of the Kollossae until the climax of the DLC. I actually got quite excited near the end and was looking forward to how the quests reached their conclusion. In terms of side quests there are quite a few here and there but nothing too extraordinary. I did the odd one for some distraction but didn't find anything too innovative. They fit into the Kollossae background, but gameplay wise there isn't much to see. So most of your time will be spent probably pursuing the main storyline stuff.

Achievement wise it's not hard by any means. Two achievements will be bagged purely from playing through the main questline, (along with a missable one which is still very easy to get) and the others will easily be obtained through enough exploring. They are evenly spread well enough through the DLC but don't require much challenge. The Pteryx is the most noticeable new enemy of the game. You'll be coming across these fat birds quite a bit in your exploring so the 50 kills achievement will come by soon enough.

So there's my thoughts on the second DLC of Kingdoms of Amalur. It doesn't add a ton in terms of new gameplay, apart from 'primal' weapons and magic which, though you'll learn about it early on, won't affect much. However it fits nicely into the Amalur universe and style of play and will keep you entertained for a good few hours (and that's just if you go solely through the main quest). It's alrightly priced at 800 points, but getting it for 400 in the sale was an absolute steal! Maybe it could've been 560, but still a good DLC regardless.
