So far the previous Dead Rising 3 DLC has been a let down. Will Chaos Rising be any different?

This is the 3rd episode of the Dead Rising 3 DLC. In this story you play as Hunter, the outlaw biker that Nick kills in the beginning of the main story. You start the story in jail and meet up with your old biker gang and you quickly find out there is a new boss in town.

Just like the previous two episodes, this is basically a re-skin of the main story. You will probably like this episode more than the other two because Hunter is really funny; almost Trevor (GTAV) like in a sadistic kind of way.

If you are looking for change you will be disappointed. Same type of missions and the same city. Simply collect the collectibles and do a couple of missions and you will be done with this DLC in no time. There is a few new weapons. The hand cannon, saw tooth, bone crusher, hellblast, and the razorback helmet. None of the new weapons are very unique and you will quickly find yourself switching back to a better weapon like the jazzhands or splitshot.

The new vehicle on the other hand is really cool. It is called the Thrasher. Basically a Harley with saws on the front that shoots saw-like projectiles. This vehicles can chew up some zombies with ease.

The achievements are nothing special either. Three types of collectibles you will have to scour the city for. The other 6 cheeves are story based that cannot be missed. You will have no problems knocking out all the cheeves in one playthrough.

With slightly better weapons and a slightly better character, you'll realize that this DLC is like the previous two.......boring. If you are a completionist like me, then get it. But if you are looking for something new and exciting in the world of Dead Rising 3 you will be disappointed.
