Broken Steel (BS) is the third installment in the series of DLC for Fallout 3. It grants the PC an extension on your quests after completing "Take it Back". At 800 points, you receive 3 new main quests, several side quests, multiple weapons, and a menagerie of new beasts to conquer.

The quests in BS are rather quick, depending on your ability to take down high-leveled foes. Players will face multiple waves of Enclave ground-pounders and the new Hellfire troopers. The quests will take you from Satellite Stations to Old Olney, Old Olney to the White House.

Among the new enemies you face are Super Mutant Overlords, which are mutants at the evolutionary step between Master and Behemoth. They are extremely tough, arguably the toughest enemy in the Wasteland. Armed with Tri-Beam Laser Rifles (one of the new weapons added by BS), they pack a helluva punch, and will require the best weapons and tactics to defeat. The player character will also face the Albino Giant Radscorpion. These are some tough cookies to crack, and will also require a great skill in weapons.

With this DLC comes a new level cap, raising the cap from 20 to 30. Getting to 30 takes about the same experience as getting to level 20 from level 1. There are achievements for certain karma at level 30, so your hard work will pay off.

All in all, Broken Steel is a worthy download. For the increased level cap, new weapons, and new quests, 800 points almost seems like your stealing Bethesda's profits! If your looking to increase your play time in Fallout 3, downloading Broken Steel is the best way to go.

This DLC came out a few years ago that is probably why their are no reviews for it but it is so good it deserves at least one. WARNING MINOR SPOILERS
Broken Steel picks up where the Fallout 3 story left off you awaken after surviving the incident at the Rotunda. The Enclave all though down are not out it is up to you and the Brotherhood to finish them off. Reuniting you with the characters you know and love this DLC gives you full closure to the Fallout 3 storyline which had an ending that might of upset a few people one of the games few drawbacks. New areas are added the kick arse giant robot Liberty Prime returns you do it all from searching for Tesla coils and sneaking past death claws to the Presidents underground railroad fighting or helping the security system.

Value for money: 95%
Bethesda have always done great DLC from Oblivion to Skyrim to Fallout they pack them with content it is very rare you will buy a DLC from them and feel ripped off well maybe that horse armour. This is how DLC should be done take note other company's more of this please.

Gameplay: 96%
Very simple if you liked playing Fallout 3 I guarantee you will love this. Everything from the original game is here just more story new locations and more weapons. Also on higher difficulties it can be a real challenge even for the experienced vault dweller.

Story: 95%
Bethesda have always told a great story this is no different wrapping everything up nicely.

The best bit: Exploring the new location's and continuing your story with freedom of choice.
The worst bit: Bloody deathclaws drive you mad some times where is my Chinese stealth armor?
Should I buy it?
If you loved Fallout 3 yes an extra 5 hours of story more if you like to explore. I recommend getting the game of the year edition instead of buying it off xbox live arcade so you can get all of the DLC as I highly recommend them all.

Final Rating: 95% EPIC WIN
