TAers,
I've recently taken over this walkthough, as I try to specialize in taking over abandoned or distressed walkthroughs (because I have a job and family, I'm not as fast as I'd like to be, so I figure this is the best way for me to contribute).
So, some good news -- this guide seems to be in relatively good shape compared to most I take over, with a good majority of the content already added to the guide (I'd say most guides I take over have a paragraph or two and that's it). Because I didn't write this content however, I'll need to thoroughly test everything.
The plan is for me to play through the game in June (I'm away for two weeks but will have time at the end of the month) to test the text in game already, then finish up the guide in July, with a timetable of publication in late July.
To keep me motivated, I try to put out a weekly update so that I put pressure on myself to do at least some work during the week. I'll start this trend up around the end of June. For now, here is where we are at with the guide:
1.) Walkthrough overview ROUGH DRAFT DONE
2.) General hints and tips Needs complete write, no content
3.) Act 1: Who Are You Looks complete, needs testing
4.) Act 1: Epilogue Looks complete, needs testing
5.) Act 2: Valentine's Day Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
6.) Act 3: Spiked Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
7.) Act 3: Epilogue Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
8.) Act 4: Dreams Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
9.) Act 4: Epilogue Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
10.) Act 5: Insanity, Please Partially complete, needs formatting, testing and achievement notes
I did at least complete the Walkthrough overview today -- next up will be General Hints and Tips (the worst part of any guide to write). From there, we'll dive into the different sections to see how much cleanup they really need.
Also, because Dekker is tough to play without a keyboard, I'm going to try to find the "trigger" words for every ask-ble question, so you can simply type one or two key words in instead of an entire sentence. Should make this guide very useful for Xbox users, so that's an additional thing that needs working.
Thats the plan, hopefully we can get this out sooner rather than later as its been idle for far too long.
