The Prologue is free for everyone, but unlike its predecessor, Hitman 2 isn't episodic. You can purchase Hitman 2 and you will get a complete game for $60 (or regional equivalent for a standard game).

If you already own Hitman (2016), you can also get all the old levels remastered in Hitman 2 for free. Alternatively, you can buy this Legacy content separately.

My first question is still not answered. Can I do this Elusive Target with the prologue or not?

You need to have access to the new Miami level, so you have to have bought one of the Hitman 2 editions that contains access to the new levels (Standard, Gold or Silver). Just the prologue alone does not include this elusive target.

The Prologue is basically a demo or appetizer. You gotta buy the game to get the good stuff ;)

This isn't strictly related to Elusive Targets, but it is time-sensitive content.

Between December 18 and January 8, players will be able to access the Christmas-themed Holiday Hoarders mission. For those who haven't bought Hitman 2 and/or its Legacy Pack, the Paris location and Holiday Hoarders will be free for everyone during this three week period. Just search for "Holiday Hoarders" on the Xbox Store.

Although the mission itself is temporary, I recommend that you tackle the 5 special challenges for this holiday mission. Upon completion, you will permanently unlock the Santa Suit for Agent 47.

Very cool. Thanks for the reminder.

I also noticed there's a countdown for the next target. Very intriguing!

The second Elusive Target for Hitman 2 is up and will be available for the next 10 days, aka until the end of the year. If anyone is up for tackling the contract while in an Xbox Live Party--again or for the first time--just say below. toast

I'm down! This weekend would be ideal, but willing to adjust as well.

Weekend works for me too. Afterwards, we can also finish up the sniper stuff.

How do I get the legacy content for free then? As I own and have completed Hitman

Do you have the digital or disc version? The process is a little different depending on which you have.

I figured it out through a video.

The Digital Version process is:
1) Install Hitman 1 (Ready to start is enough)
2) Select Legacy content
3) Check if it installs LEGACY: Paris etc (otherwise you just installed Hitman 1 content)
4) Delete Hitman 1 to your desire

Really glad I found this, otherwise I would have double bought things!

Definitely, I wouldn't want anyone to buy something they already own. For anyone else wondering about the process, here are the official instructions from IOI's website for digital and disc owners.

Next ET will arrive at the end of the month, and take place on the Isle of Sgail. (Damn, I was hoping the next contract would be in Mumbai, so I can unlock the awesome vest 47 wears on that level.)

Wow. I kept thinking it would have arrived much sooner. I'm probably the least familiar with the Isle of Sgail too.

Oh, well. Gives me an opportunity to wrap up other games while we wait. :-)

I wonder if they are going to have elusive targets for the legacy maps, or at least rerun the ones from Season 1. My guess is they will eventually rerun the old ones, but it would be pretty sweet to get some new ones. I always enjoy playing in Sapienza and Bangkok, and I like the legacy versions of the Seasons 1 maps.

I really hope they do. Those S1 suits are awesome. My favorites being Sapienza, Bangkok, and Hokkaido's. Modders did find the S1 suits with gloves buried in the Legacy Pack's code, so I guess that means we'll eventually be given the opportunity to earn (or re-earn) them.
