I cannot recall one single movie tie in game that I really liked.
Well. Open Season was easy. But it was also somewhat awesome. But that is it. It's more made for kids who don't play games like experienced older gamers. :P
Up was pretty good, as was Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs, and Megamind. King Kong was decent as well, but I haven't played it in years.

Wanted is probably the better movie tie-in I’ve played.

This is the first of two games from Outright Games on this list, and like the rest of their small but rapidly increasing body of publishing work, it's an adaptation of a kids property. We'll revisit this game on our next list, The Most Improbable Video Games Made in 2018.
Always looking for good games to play with the grandkids. This looks like a good candidate.

Could be, though I’m not sure if the fact that it’s a Pikmin clone makes it better or worse for you and them. It’s maybe not what you expected. If you still have a 360, and I know you do as a collector, Toy Story 3 and Rango were both really fun, I thought. TS3 is also back compat.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard is available at Redbox, so you may be able to play it for as little as $3.

I can't recommend it though. Pretty much all you do is send little Impa minions to attack enemies or do small tasks, then call them back to you. My only amusement came when I accidentally sent a new breed of Impas to their deaths, not realizing they couldn't fly.

The biggest design flaw was the inability to bring up a map during gameplay. You could only see it when you chose a place to spawn. Fortunately some of the solutions have screenshots.

If you play it, my only advice: When you have small numbers of Impas, keep calling them back when an enemy is about to attack. If you just attack, you can lose all your Impas and then have to spawn again with the minimum 5 Impas.

Still, it's definitely easy and belongs on this list.
Lol i rented from redbox for a week and ended up paying 25.00. I hated it and was too lazy to return it. I tried but it was so annoying. I may rent again and finish it in one night. But Jesus the time limit pissed me off the most.
    Obtained the shadows rushed me.

Agreed. Wanted: Weapons of Fate is one of the best. Ghostbusters: The Video Game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Matrix: Path of Neo are also some top picks.

Goldeneye is the best movie tie-in game ever.

Also, most of the LEGO games ARE movie tie-ins, regardless of whether you think they aren't

Out of curiosity I wanted to see good to bad ratio

    decent movie tie in games

    Tron
    Toy story 3
    Ratatouille
    Iron Man
    Bolt
    Brave
    Saw 1 & 2
    Wallace and gromit
    Ice age
    Kung Fu Panda
    Rango
    Night at the museum

    Movie games that are shit

    Bee movie
Harry Potter (especially the Kinect one)
Rio (unless you have friends and tequila)
Transformers (especially the one with MP)
    G force (ugh hamsters)
Avatar (so fucking long and again with the MP)
    Battleship
    Eragon (and it stacks joy)
    Green lantern
Golden compass (I guess if we're counting games from movies from books)
    Happy feet
    Jumper
Legend of the guardian the fucking owls of gahoooool
    Space chimps

    Not quite 2:1 but close

Good point. That was annoying in the beginning when I could only play for 10 minutes before going back to a spawn point. Once I had 12:30 or 15 minutes, the time limit didn't cause me a problem. So I have more advice: grab the treasure chests as soon as you can so you can upgrade your time limit, number of Impas, and other properties.

I liked Super Destronaut. It was my kind of game. I finished it in 15 minutes and then I played it for another hour after that. Good fun.

Been playing What's the box and it's quite fun, my son is loving it.
Might give Danger Zone 2 a go as well.

    Good list there.

But I loved Rio lol! Ice Age wasn't a great game either but yes Jumper, Eragon, Space Chimps and especially Battleship were bollocks.

Had to laugh at the comment about playing hide and seek with a boxcutter which was the way you used to do it too.

Whoever clocked in Adv time at 10 hours works miracles....easy yes, but still time consuming. I would put it at about 20-25hours
