Question: Does that mean we can play the DE Version now on the Xbox One? Previously, you would have needed a PAL 360.

If so, is it possible to buy from the XONE Store? or would I need a physical disc?
Assuming they made the DE version backward compatible you can play it on the Xbox One as it is region free (well except for China). However you will need a German XBL account and German payment method and possibly a VPN to Germany to buy it from the Xbox 360 store. A disc from eBay can be easier.

I played a bit of the Bureau for the heck of it last week and found it super enjoyable. I'm looking forward to finishing it off on the One.
It's pretty good, especially for $4:

Is Duke Nukem Forever (JP) now BC? It didn’t say it was, but I thought I’d ask.
Usually when a game goes BC, all regional variants do as well. But it sometimes takes a few days or weeks. The only exception I know of is Symfony of the Night; last I heard, the JP version was not backwards compatible.

For reference, all BC games are region-free when played on Xbox One, even if they were region-locked on 360.
What about DLC, for a game like say Borderlands?

You have to own the DLC for the correct version of the game. They're seperate entities.

Borderlands was also a unique case in that the digital version on the Xbox One granted all DLC. Not sure if the regional versions did as well.

They are off the chain with these announcements, FEAR next and I might soon run out of titles to ask for.

Borderlands JP include some dlc on the ONE. The dlc must be owned by an account and the region switched on the Xbox one so the items appear ready to download.

Mass effect also received a similar treatment like borderlands did when it comes to dlc on the One.

I loved the old Duke games but heard so much shite about this one that I never bought it, maybe now I should start thinking about it again, hmmm, decisions, decisions...
Absolutely loved The Darkness & have Xcom on disc in my backlog, from the praise it gets in here I guess I should consider dusting it off... hmmm ... oh,no more decisions lol smile
It's not like I'm saying that I am Batman, I'm just saying no one has EVER seen us at the same time. . .

I just put in JP Borderlands and had all DLC. I didn't have to do any weird stuff.

I'm pretty sure that the DLC was just included in the initial download

    Is the darkness JP included?

I see you can get the multiplayer achievements offline. You wouldn't even need a XBL Gold account to double box them with a single digital copy. Unless you have a two copies and 4 Xboxes you will need to go online for
