Anybody else find it odd that the game includes Greek ruins while ancient Greece is still a functioning society? The game takes place in 431 B.C., but ancient Greek civilization didn't collapse until around 600 A.D.

The Greek empire pretty much collapsed around 150 AD after having their asses kicked by the Romans.
It rose around 9-800 BC though. So there is still around 300 years something could get ruined in. I don't remember the exact ruins you are talking about though.
Also AC have never been historically correct. Most of the famous people you meet in the games, didn't live at the same time either
Leonidas also died in 480 BC, and while playing the game, my impression was that he had been dead for a LOT longer than 49 years
