Vampyr Walkthrough Discussion

Please use this thread to discuss the Vampyr walkthrough.

I’m excited for the walkthrough so if you want anyone to test run your guide as you work on it I’m happy to help. :)

Update on progress: I am making the guide as detail-oriented as possible; there's nothing more frustrating than looking at a Walkthrough that just lists the achievements without being a real guide. Unfortunately, with Vampyr, that's taking … a lot longer than anticipated!

I am plugging away at it, and have finished two chapters worth of material as well as a number of supplementary pages.

Any update on this walkthrough?

Update to this massive walkthrough: I finally got Chapter 5's (of 6) portion edited and posted. Part of the delay occurred when I made a story choice error which locked me out of several achievements. The upside is I was able to include this note in my walkthrough … so hooray for accuracy. I'm hoping to have this ready for review in the next week or so!

Okay, this should be the final update before publication! I've got my rough draft, just need to polish it up and post it for review! Massive thanks to RSBennett and Toffee1984 for keeping me on track through this process. It's a massive sandbox after the first couple chapters, but I've got a nice flow to where you can finish it up with two full playthroughs and a partial (roughly 30 mins, maybe less). As long as GamePass doesn't surprise us and remove it in the next couple weeks, the guide will be available for everyone to get 1000 GS.

Afterthoughts: Great game, some bugginess with map rendering due to the largeness of the city that causes the game to crash to the dashboard, and load times are extremely lengthy. There are a lot of areas where you just kind of meander through without opposition ... or anything really other than really well-rendered graphics. The single save file is brutal in later parts of the game; while you can't permadeath, I did bungle my citizen management, which caused me to have to restart an entire playthrough, but I've got my mistake corrected in the guide. Amazing voice acting, awesome story, and great gameplay, and much more interactive and action intensive than DONTNOD's Life is Strange entries.
