And if they decide they want to, too bad for them?
Not arguing with you since I can tell as usual that's all you're trying to do.

This tutorial isn't needed.

Asking for your opinion is not an argument, unless you're looking for one. I'll take your answer as "yes".

Step 1. Plug it into your computer.
Step 2. Play.

If you have a computer without a USB input... laugh

If only MS had a support site with this stuff.

I disagree with what you're hinting at here. I think it's nice to see a well formatted tips article like this from time to time. It reminds people the functionality is there without having them search through Microsoft's extensive support site for it.
Google search "connect xbox controller to pc"

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/c...

Didn't seem that hard to find on the MS site.

Are the pictures properly sourced? They are, but not easily visible.

Not everyone can afford this expensive commodity 'google' though, Sasha.

I would much prefer TA tried generating traffic through help guides rather than click-bait news articles, if I had a choice.

I had to do this with my 360 controller when playing Stealth 2 Inc, one of the biggest turn offs to playing Win10 games on my PC. It was incredibly frustrating.

What was frustrating? Plugging it in? it's plug and play and works by default.

For me, I just connect it to the play-and-charge cable (sans the battery in the controller), and USB it to my laptop. No need to re-sync to console after that.
