I'm interested to know how much it will be in the UK.
There is always a way.

this is a joke. 1tb hard drive for a disc less xbox one? Thats like 15 games you can have at any time. should be 4-5tb hard drive if theyre going down this route now...warning

for 229€ ... dream on. And you play more than 15 games at the same time?

Which would then push the price of the console to £300-£399 which at that point most people are going to say "may as well get a Xbox One X" which would defeat the entire point of this console.

I have more than 100 games installed at the moment, using exteranal HDD. That is normal, comes handy for some events this site hosts.
But I too fail to see the point the OP tried to make. With BD drive you still need to install the games on the HDD and the discless version will still feature an USB3.0.

I doubt the price is what the stores will sell it. In Finland you can get normal S with FH4 for 200€ and X for 380€.

1 TB? gears of War 4 is about 130GB on its own. 3 TB minimum in my opinion.

That equals like $260 usd. 1 TB Xbox one S for $199 stateside. So your basically paying for 3 games you can get fairly cheap and lose access to a disc drive.

I too have all my games installed on an external drive. There is just no point in discussing size of internal drives if you can extend it cheaper/easier with external ones.

I'm interested to know the dimensions of this edition. One would assume that it'd be physically smaller, not having a disc drive.

While I think this is a great idea and would probably consider it if my profile final X1 ever does (what's the original version of the console called now, anyway?) the one thing the does worry me is what happens if a game is ever pulled from the Microsoft store?

I know this is relatively unlikely, but there have already been cases of games being de-listed from the 360 library. I guess the answer is to download it and keep it on the HDD, bit that's assuming that we're given enough notice.

TBF though, this argument can be said for any digital distribution service.

The S is currently £189 on Amazon, that price seems a little high... unless it has Gamepass and Gold included?

This console is not for you.

Its for the "casual" people, who buy a game a year, and rotate a few games from gamepass...
And for that, the console is great.

To be fair, I have 237 games installed on the original 500GB console's internal drive.
