Is there a reason why this game isn't backwards compatible?

I want to play this game but i don't own a Xbox 360. Is there some information why this game never went BC? I mean, it's published by Microsoft Studios, so it should have been BC, plus the backwards compatibility program has ended. And the game is still available to buy on the 360 marketplace.

Yes, i know this game have a Steam version. Atleast.

Your guess is as good as any.
Noone outside the program propably knows. And they wouldn't reply.
But most likely it's one out of two reasons:

1. Developer didn't sign off on adding it to the program.
2. Licensing issues on f.ex a piece of music, and noone willing to foot that extra bill.

No matter the reason, the result is the same though

Or 3. This game wasn't a priority for Microsoft so the engineering work to make it happen was never done.

Pretty sure the reasons was because the first thing TheMaize said and the reason by zeldafan. Thanks for the responses.

I thought the company who made the game was 'dead' or something, but i did some research and they even did a switch port for this game, interesting. The creator also haves Twitter.
