Anyone know if the regular edition of shadow of mordor would work with this. Or do I need to start a new game of the game of the year edition?

Is this actually working for anyone yet? I've got the quest on xbox app, but when i click on it to look at the games it just sends me to the app menu. Plus didn't it last time have a counter of how much you'd scored/earned?
I'm just asking 'cause i don't want to start it and have it not count :D

It works on my mobile app. I haven't started earning appropriate GS yet but it shows me proper games. I'm in US if that's important.

Same thing is happening for me. The Rewards app is frequently buggy and uncooperative, but I expect it will sort itself out soon.

Its another con only select games from game pass and only games that are hard to get 10.000gs from in 10 days quests like this and the other cons buy a game that is not even in game pass should not be allowed.

Why call them game pass quests when its only a small selection
Yeah, Microsoft is giving something away for free, total con roll
The con is they don't included all games that are included in pass and they add games with glitch, buggy or unobtainable achievements.

Halo wars definitive edition has glitchy achievements and saints row 3 has 1 unotainable.

Halo Wars is pretty easy if you know what you're doing or have completed it before.

Thank you for the list as the link on the dashboard isn't working properly. Scrolling through the comments I see that this is happening to quite a few people. I hope they fix it.

I spent several hours starting from about noon PT playing Old Man's Journey and Minit for this quest. I registered the first 500GS on the Rewards app on my Xbox One X, and checked after completing Minit on my Android Game Pass app and everything counted normally.

That's not to say it'll be working smoothly for everyone, as I've been in the situation before where these quests (and general MS Rewards offers) showed later for me or took longer to register. Thought you all would want to know it might be worth another look-see at least toast

I was expecting this to show up but not actually work for Aussies, like last time. Fortunately, I've knocked out 500gs in Old Man's Journey and have successfully claimed my points from the console Microsoft Rewards app.

Now that I'm past the claim stage, I'm finding my Microsoft Rewards point total is updating correctly (and fairly quickly) on the Android Xbox Game Pass app as I continue unlocking achievements. Doubt I'll get much overall, but this is certainly motivating me to look at the handful of eligible titles I've started.

Still having issues with the eligible titles list on the console app, but I can see the list on the Android app.

    Good luck everyone! toast

Having read through the article and all the comments I haven't really seen anyone specifically point out one thing that is important to have in mind.

(Well, the information of how it all works is generally there but still I found myself wondering exactly what would happen with any overshooting Gamerscore before you claim the first part of the quest. Figured maybe others are wondering too).

Claim the 500 Reward Points (RP) that activate the rest of the quest as soon as you can. Ideally having earned exactly 500G from eligible games. Anything that overshoots the initial 500G you need will not earn you RP. You will only start earning the RP between 500 - 10 000 from achievements you unlock after you activated the latter portion of the quest.

I thought this happened to me last time we had this quest (didn't hit 500G on the nose and instead went a little above)but I wasn't sure how much total RP I had before I started that time. This time I made a note of how much I had.

Started playing Old Man's Journey and when I got a total of 550 Gamerscore (where the most recently unlocked achievement was worth 150G) I claimed the 500 RP. My total amount of RP increased by 500 and nothing was awarded for the overshooting 50G. It doesn't trigger later when you unlock more achievements either. So after having completed Old Man's Journey earning 1 000G I had earned 950 RP.

Now, I could have been more strategic and left that 150G achievement for later (especially since I had to reload and make several attempts at it anyway) since the next available achievement was worth 100G and would have brought my total to 500G exactly. 50 points here and there isn't a big deal though and I was also curious about what would happen with overshooting points.

Someone who would keep earning GS thinking that everything will count even if you activate the quest later could stand to lose a lot of points though so I just wanted to send out a little warning.

    -------

I'm thinking about playing Quantum Break next. I've been dying to play that and it's been collecting dust in my backlog for a couple of years at least. Which leads me to a question that hopefully someone can answer. Imagine this scenario:

    * You own a physical copy of a game
    * You install and run it from disc
    * The game is also currently a part of Game Pass (and you are a Game Pass member)
    * There are Game Pass Quests tied to this game

Question: can you still complete GP Quests while using your disc version of the game or do you need to have downloaded and installed it via Game Pass instead?

Yes, it's a stupid question and I feel dumb for asking it but it's just that sometimes when it comes to Microsoft and Xbox things are... well, kinda dumb.

Already did all the easy completion games just before. Oh well. Just did 600GS on Outer Wilds to start it off. Should be an easy 800GS. After that I am not sure what to play. Already had done Minit and old man.

Heptagrammaton: last time I used a disc copy of a game and it counted. So long as the title is part of GPU and you are a GPU member, it doesn't matter if it was downloaded from the GPU store or installed and played off the disc.

Thanks for confirming this for me. It'll be faster to install from disc rather than downloading. So, maybe a little QB later after I've slept.

    Cheers!

For games that are BC like Fallout 3 does it have to be done on the One using BC or does it work on the 360? Also does anyone know if the Fallout 3 PC achievements also count.
