What's happening for you? They appear to be all working for me. Is it a specific game?

A useful bit for any other people in Japan: sale prices are different in yen, some games are cheaper. I might grab Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Bioshock for a tad cheaper thanks to the exchange rate on yennies. I was looking for an excuse to go to Geo.
    ???????!

I don't want to have multiple accounts: I want to be able to use the same account. The fact is the vast majority of the games aren't region locked and don't need to be on a separate store. The whole set up is dumb: essentially you can't use your gift cards on Original and 360 games on the Xbox One. I've had issue with the site so now I'm having to switch to my 360 just to use my gift cards/rewards points. Think I'm just going to change my Hotmail account region and if I can't boost for 90 days then so be it.
It’s not dumb, it’s working as intended. And you are wrong, over half the 360 games are region locked. And I’m not even talking about not being able to buy a NTSC-J game from a PAL console, so you need a NTSC-J console as well to do that. Sure, you can use a VPN to circumvent IP locks, but that was always considered as breaking the ToS. When Bluray came out, they didn’t remove the region locks from DVDs. Yeah, I know region free DVD players are legal in some countries, but here Xboxes can only play region 4, and most of my DVDs are region 2 and 1.

You cannot buy 360 content anonymously with gift cards over the web, you must do it from your console. If you commit fraud getting Xbox One content Microsoft can revoke your license(s). With Xbox 360 they cannot do that, so will permanently ban the console you used for the fraud. This is why you have to be very careful buying a second hand 360. It is easily solved by using a credit card as you are no longer anonymous, but not everyone can get a credit card.

Anyway I have region hopped a lot - South Africa, Hungary, Czech, Switzerland, US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada. You can do this once every 3 months. It’s so funny being stuck in places like Germany for 90 days, because your 360 dash is in German, the movie trailers are for German movies, free themes and avatar items are for German products (Axe not Lynx), etc.

Fun fact: in 2005/2006 Xbox 360 was not IP locked. I could change my console to US to get free themes and watch US movie trailers and music videos, then change it to UK and do the same. It was a sad day when they turned on IP locking, as themes, trailers, videos, and several free games were never made available in my region. Even today some games are not released in NZ.

Your Live account still functions as normal - you can still boost and play online. If you have 7 months and 3 days Gold left, they will convert it to 8 full months of Gold. Obviously any local currency you have left on your account you will not be able to spend on 360 content until you switch back. If you do want to buy anything during the 3 months you will need to add new currency using gift cards. MSP made it much easier as it was a universal currency.

You will only be able to get the 360 GwG for that region, which might be the reason you switched. But the following month when that country get’s “Splosion Man“ or “The Maw” again you might regret it.

Xbox One being both region and PAL/NTSC/NTSC-J free (except China) was fantastic. Which does make the 360 look bad/dumb in comparison, but it is what it is, just like DVDs.

If you do want to get Xbox 360 games from a different region on your account, this is the link to change your region:
    https://account.xbox.com/en-us/AccountMigrationConfirm

I personally recommend maintaining seperate accounts in each region instead, so you have access to all your currency balances.

This is what happens when I try to acess batman arkham collection bundle for example.

The browser stops on this link:

I suspect you have an adblocker of some sort. My own flagged that particular link and I had to manually override it to make the shop links work again.

Thanks for your previous informative reply: never knew the 350 was initially region free. It seems like a problem with legacy contracts and legal admin. I can't still see why they can't transfer stuff that is backwards compatible to the One store. I mean it already gives you a newly created digital version to make it backwards compatible so there should be zero issues with that.

I don't tend to save up more than £20 of credit at any given time so might just change regions and deal with that for a few months. There only 2 Xbox original games I want to get anyway.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider for under $20 USD - my waiting finally paid off.
Was NZD $164.95 now NZD $34.61.
Nice! I stupidly bought the Definitive Edition extra content pack during the last sale and now realize you can't buy just the game digitally, can only buy the Definitive Edition. Since I won't be playing right away with my current backlog and having to still do RotTR, I'll hold out some more for another sale, maybe even a physical disc

OMG, that would be brilliant, and as you say there is no reason for them not to be able to do that.

That way when they finally shut down the 360 store, all the BC games and DLC will still be available. I’d like them to have one last push to make as many of the remaining games as possible BC.

I hate how they did that for Game Pass. A cheap disc is probably the way to go, but with any luck it will be GwG.

Having said that I own all the FH4 DLC and not the game. So I will also need to buy it on disc if it doesn’t go GwG before delisting.

So you broke Xbox Live just so you won't have to buy the game? You get points for finding a creative way to get out of our agreement, I'll give you that.
