Video: Minecraft Worlds Missing Folder - Easy Fix!!!

    Text guide:

As many of you are probably aware, the method for importing Minecraft worlds is different on the Android release.

First off, you CANNOT import .mcworld or .zip files as they are. However, you can still import them. "Wait... what?", you ask...

.mcworld files can only be imported into the following Minecraft releases by clicking on the import icon (arrow inside a box to the right of Create World) [<-]:
    - Windows 10 PC
    - Windows 10 Mobile (a.k.a. Windows Phone; WP)

.zip files can be imported into the following Minecraft releases by manually extracting the files:
    - Android
    - Kindle Fire
    - Gear VR

.mcworld files are basically .zip files. You've probably seen a ZIP file listed as a Compresed (zipped) Folder on a Windows PC.

If you have a .mcworld file that you'd like to import, the first step is to change the file extension to .zip. The process for this varies depending on the device you are doing this on. If you are on a Windows PC, you will need to open Windows Explorer (Win+E), click View, then check File name extensions. You can then rename the file easily and change the file extension from .mcworld to .zip (i.e. MyWorld.mcworld to MyWorld.zip).

The next part is to extract the files from the .zip file. The process for this varies depending on the device you are doing this on. This is easiest to do on a Windows PC as you can either:
    - right-click on the .zip file and select Extract All..., then follow the on-screen prompts (a new folder will be created for you)
    - just directly double-click on the .zip file, select all files (Ctrl+A), copy (Ctrl+C), create a new folder on your Desktop, then paste (Ctrl+P) the files into that new folder you created earlier.

Please note that you CANNOT have the Google Play Store release (e.g. Android), Kindle Fire, and Gear VR releases installed on the same device at the same time. If you already have the Kindle Fire or Gear VR release installed, you will need to backup your worlds and uninstall it before continuing.

Now we need to purchase/install Minecraft from the Google Play Store.

You now have Minecraft installed, we need to run the game and sign-in to your Microsoft account.

Once you have done that, now comes the important part... changing the storage location for your Minecraft worlds. It is VERY IMPORTANT that the worlds be installed to External storage so the folder appears when you connect your phone to your PC. This setting is available when you click Play (bottom of the screen) and under Settings -> Profile.

To change this setting from the main menu, go to either:
    a) Play -> Did your worlds disappear? Try changing your storage location: File location: Application (change to External)
    b) Settings -> Profile -> File Storage Location: Application (change to External)

A screen will pop up that says:
    - Allow Minecraft to access photos, media, and files on your device? Deny/Allow
    - You MUST click Allow

If you don't have any worlds already on your Android device, I'd suggest creating at least 1 world before continuing.

Close the game on your Android device.

Using a USB cable, directly connect your Android phone to your PC.

On your PC, open Windows Explorer (Win+E), then navigate to the following folder:
    - This PC\Android\Internal storage\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
-- Note: Your Android device may have a different name.

Now all you need to do is paste that folder you created earlier (extracted from the Minecraft world .zip file).

Load Minecraft up again on your Android device, click Play and you should have the world available to play.
