I'm guessing games like Cyberpunk and Valhalla will appear on this list. The article already cover Windows 10 and Xbox 360 BC games.

Probably worth renaming it from "Xbox One Sale Roundup" to "Xbox Sale Roundup". We can still have the "Xbox 360 Sale Roundup" just for the non-BC stuff.
Why aren’t they doing 360 roundup?

R.I.P. my wallet, too many easy, discounted 1Ks to pass up!!

*edit - Make that 13 new games for me!
Which ones did you grab, if you don't mind sharing? I always like to hear what other people are interested in, might find something for myself. toast
Lately, due to having such a massive backlog of games already, I try to limit what I get to games that are $5 or cheaper, and take 5-6 hours or less to complete (with exceptions of course). A bunch of the games on sale I already have, so the list could easily be longer. Here's what I got though:

    - Doodle Games Collector's Bundle (Includes Doodle God: Crime City and Doodle God: Evolution)
    - 112th Seed
    - Factotum 90
    - AER - Memories of Old
    - Jump, Step, Step
    - Glass Masquerade
    - SiNKR
    - Classic Snake Adventures
    - Seasons of the Samurai
    - Lanternium
    - Mars Power Industries Deluxe
    - SokoBunny

Finally going to dive into Fallout New Vegas I think so I've scooped the DLC. Tempted by Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! but mildly worried that it might be a bit of a pain on the old controller. Will have an investigate tonight.

Cool, thanks for the list! I'm in a similar position, have too many games but cannot resist checking out new experiences for a few dollars here and there. I've bought and played 3 of those but will check out some of the others.

Thanks for the heads-up. Be aware you might get banned if you get it on your main GT. Use a secondary profile and set the GT as your home console

So you are suggesting paying for a second XBL Gold sub just for this? And when that sub runs out you will lose access.

Xbox One is region free. If you commit fraud on your main or secondary account you will get banned. But this is not fraud.

I’m saying this because one of my friend got banned for getting a GWG game from Japan, at least that is what I have been told. If you want to risk it more power to you. Xbox One is not region free, I know it because i launched most (CN) games

I appreciate the warning, and everyone should form their own opinion of risk vs reward.

I usually say "Xbox One is region free (except China)" and the one time I don't I get pulled up on it smile

I live in NZ, but I have bought many of my XB1 GwG from the US web site over the years, because I hadn't realised the region wasn't set to NZ as I followed a link on TA or Major Nelson's blog.

Nobody can say it is 100% safe. If they got an Xbox 360 GwG by using a VPN to hide their IP address, and also created a fake Japan payment method with a fake billing address, now that is more of a grey area.

But Microsoft have always been ok with people legitimately buying content from other regions. Otherwise half the population of the US who bought an NTSC-J Xbox 360 to play Japanese games would have been banned.

Besides, Microsoft never tell you why you have been banned. So unless getting that GwG from Japan was the only thing they did in the past few months, there is no way to be sure that was the reason.

But of course your friend could be telling the truth, and losing access to $1,000+ of content purchased on your account is harsh punishment indeed for grabbing a free game from a region, whether by mistake or deliberately. If Microsoft didn't want you to do it they should have prevented it, same way they prevented it (for 3 months at a time) for Xbox 360.

You're changing regions to get something for free which isn't free in your region. So yes, you're committing fraud and MS can ban you for it.

Whether they will or not is a different question. It's up to the individual to decide whether a game (which will inevitably be on sale for $5) is worth that risk.

PS: The console being "region free" has nothing to do with it.

    1. It's not free. You must have a paid subscription to claim it, and you must maintain that paid subscription to play it.

    2. Region Free has everything to do with it. In some countries selling a DVD Player or Blu Ray player that circumvents region protection is illegal. Manipulating your IP address to get around region locks (to access content that is not permitted in your country) is also a grey area. But going to https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca to buy content instead of https://www.microsoft.com/en-us is not fraud. I buy goods from both amazon.com (paid for in USD) and amazon.co.uk (paid for in GBP) and have them sent to New Zealand - no fraud there.

But I totally agree that "it's up to the individual to decide".

I waited 10 years to buy the complete DLC for Fallout 3 & Fallout NV. Bought the X360/X1 reissue of NV in Feb when doing some pre-pandemic prepping and saw it at Walmart for the first time in a couple years, not only that but it was discounted to like $8.99.... With Fallout 3, I had purchased two of the DLC for I think $3 something years ago and I own it on disc, whereas NV I had owned on digital. So, an Ultimate Edition for 3 was off the table for me. Now at $2 per DLC, I finally complete the 10 year hunt for the complete Fallout 3 & Fallout NV experiences.... Now I'm waiting for Fallout 4 GOTY to hit the $14-$15 range as I recall the season pass hitting that range only once on a sale, but I don't remember why I didn't buy it.
