How do you score?

The controls simply say 'B' button. I must have made about 300 shots and the goalkeeper saves every single one.

Why would a dev post-launch update the AI of a game that is supposed to be a port of a 1993 game?
It's supposed to feel exactly like the original.

Just tried the trick and it works EXTREMELY well.
I'm scoring almost every time. Scored around 15 times in one period (20 min period length)

So like some others, I couldn't get the YouTube method to work for whatever reason after too many times trying. However, if you're like me, I was playing with the thumbsticks instead of the D-pad. Once I switched from the left thumbstick to the D-Pad, I scored 5 goals on 5 shots.

Hopefully that may help some people who may be stuck doing this method: use the D-pad instead of the thumbstick!

Honestly the AI goalie moves with me frame by frame when I go from left to right in front of the net. I’ve been trying for almost 3 periods 😅 I assume it’s a case of keep trying and you’ll eventually get it

I'll confirm that the trick still works. It's not going to work every single time, and make sure you start your turn well early of the circle, but when you get the hang of it you'll slap it in most of the time.
