Warboats 2021 Discussion

Warboats is fun, my thanks to the person or persons who organized it.

Only other thought: extremely convenient aiming in that the person in first place sank every ship without a miss. Not impossible obviously, but, good grief.

I don't have a lot of time for this event. First hit, nice. After a miss I know it should go vertically. 4 hits, next is either NHL 15 (which I completely missed that had left EA Access) or full campaign in COD MW (which I don't have at the moment). Must be a carrier.

Eventually I hit one next to the only boring achievement I was worried about. This time vertically. As I have already found carrier it will be battleship if I'm unlucky. 4 hits and... the boat is still there.

What happened? My initial carrier is not a carrier. It's two 3 long ships in a straight line. Now I'll have to complete 75% of Mafia III storyline which I have barely started.

Well, I've planned to get back to Mafia soon anyway, might just have to do it quicker.

I hit B3, B4, and B5 so I assumed B6 would be the final or penultimate hit for the boat and, after driving across town to get gta4 from a friend who borrowed it a few years back: it turned out to be 3 boats stacked together. As fate would have it the boat that I ended up sinking also happened to be the Carrier too

Although i complained earlier about some aspects, it was truely an epic journey in skining all those damn ships, which were placed very weirdly on my board.
I was on full random, and got 64 different game(stacks) of which i hadn't started about fourty.

Some highlights:

Had to do the excact same achievement for Golf With your Friends, Xbox and WIN stack

Started Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Crysis 2 Campaign and Wolfenstein II. Three of those 4 games feature a submarine in the beginning, and i keep mixing up the storylines when thinking about those games

Played two thirds of Mass-Effect 2 (JP). Yes you can easily install and play it in english.

Started Army of Two (EU) - played till the final mission only to figure out that my Achievement on the Board was for the US Version. Replayed the whole game and figured that the easiest difficulty is not easier than normal.

Played my first basketball game - NBA 18-Live

Needed three restarts and countless youtube videos, as well as a motivation speech of a mate to get into Slime Rancher and get those 5k bucks in 24hours igt.

Fell asleep on the table during playing Carto.

Tryed to Learn Cricket by playing Cricket 19, but still don't know the basic rules. I partly know what to do to win, and i did play all tutorials.... The game itself is still a mystery.

Figured out that Endless Space 2 is a huge improval over the first part. Loved it. Cheesed the mechanics. Played on hardest difficulty. Had a great time.

Had to play half-way through Fallout NY to finally arrive at a casino and beeing able to play slots for the corresponding achievement. Great memories. Best fallout to date. Probably.

Had to play almost all the way through Darksiders Genesis - a game i like the more i played it.

Grinded through the majority of Tekken 7 on the last day it was on gamepass. The whole night. Thank you wife for letting me.


And this doesn't even mention half of the games i got into during this challenge -

Thank you very much for providing such cool events! I was always into competitive multi-gaming and this was just perfect for the loads of freetime that currently couldn't be spent better!

Just wanted to post here again because I was thinking about just how much I enjoyed this event. It was one of my favorites ever (and that is coming from someone with all 18 Community Event badges!).

I am very ecstatic for what gets cooked up next. Kudos to all involved for an amazing event.
