    @Dr Marty, I wouldn't recommend buying the GoTY version. It is horrifically buggy. Specifically, as reported on this site and others, most of the achievements won't unlock. Restarting the game, resetting the xbox, etc doesn't work. The achievement checking is broken in this version and the devs don't plan to fix them. Even the simplest achievement like completing a quest won't unlock. I was able to get the first couple of achievements to unlock and then it stopped working. I didn't even get out of the prologue and some of the achievements require doing a lot of setup work and if it doesn't unlock you have no idea whether it glitched or you did something wrong.

    Personally I bought the regular version and then the DLCs separately. The regular version achievements work fine.

    Yeah, after a casual perusal of this sale I've noticed a lot of games at noticeably higher prices than previous sales. This is a "good sale" I suppose in terms of volume of titles...but the sale prices are generally not even matching previous best prices in many cases. I think there are likely a few gems in here for most people but for those of us who watch these sales closely this is pretty"meh" overall.

    I may pick up the Witcher 3 GoTY since I think it's at its all time low..but other than that I'm not seeing much.

    I have never played this game. If an achievement doesn't pop, can you load a save and try again? How do saves work? Can you save whenever or are there auto saves that overwrite your previous save?

    You can freely save when you want if you're not in combat. Auto saves overwrite previous auto saves and there are eight manual save slots.
