I’m just going to write this up since there is no information about the game anywhere, and the game itself does not really explain much unfortunately.

So basically, your goal is to extinguish as much enemies and fire as possible. The “ending” you get depends on how well you do that in the (five) different areas of the game. During your playthrough, you can tell how well you are doing by looking the heart (representing your health) on the top left of your screen. It should also be noted that if you die, there will be a slight penalty and some flames will be permanently added to the heart for that area. If there is the maximum amount of fire surrounding it after completing an area, that means you are on pace to obtain the bad ending.

You can tell if you have either “failed” or “succeeded” an area after seeing the following text:

    - Entertain
    - Keep them safe
    - Keep them happy

If the text starts to disappear and "burn," that means you have failed the previous area. If the text remains white and nothing happens, that means you have succeeded the previous area.

However, you can only get the bad ending if you let the heart get surrounded by the maximum amount of fire in the majority of the stages/areas. So for instance, if you fail only two of the areas but successfully keep the flames to a small amount for the other three (there might even be more leeway than that) – the game will branch out and you will be on pace to receive either one of the two “good” endings for the game:

So yes, that means multiple playthroughs are required if someone is to go for the completion.

There are a couple of achievements that can only be obtained after you have collected all twelve lost stars/spheres and have obtained at least one of the good endings, which I have explained briefly in the solutions for each achievement:

The boss fight achievements are probably the hardest ones in the game, per se. You have to successfully kill each boss without taking damage – if you happen to get hit and move on, you unfortunately have to play through the game again to have another attempt at the boss (which means all of these achievements are technically missable). You can, however, get killed intentionally if you get hit and be able to “retry” the boss. I would recommend going for these achievements after you have collected all of the bosses’ weapons and all of the stars/spheres because you get advanced upgrades (such as extra dashes and increased damage) which make the fights much easier (albeit still relatively difficult).

I plan on making a video showing where all twelve of the collectibles are (and probably add on to this post), but in the meantime hopefully this is sufficient for someone who was confused about the game or was interested due to the lack of tracked gamers that have started this on the site.

If anyone has a question, feel free to ask!

Here's my (small) recommended roadmap on how to approach the achievements. Keep in mind the progress you make in a specific save slot carries over for each playthrough you do.

    - First playthrough: Go through the game and try to collect all the spheres, not worrying about how you play and obtain the "bad" ending. If you miss some spheres by the end don't worry, you can clean them up in the next playthrough. (1-2 hours)

    - Second playthrough: Go through the game collecting all 12 stars/spheres, play well and obtain the first of two "good" endings. If you want, you can try and go for the boss fight achievements during this playthrough if you have already collected everything. (2-3 hours)

Achievements unlocked (3 out of 13):

    - Third playthrough: You should have all collectibles, upgrades and boss weapons obtained up until this point. The game will also be in its "hardest loop," which means there will be increased enemies throughout the areas. However, the enemies and bosses themselves don't get any stronger. In this playthrough, you should go for the boss fight achievements if you have not already and obtain the second "good" ending (the one you did not pick in the last playthrough). You will also be going for the Improvised Challenge achievement. You should take your time while doing this as it can be easy to accidentally miss an enemy, and if you do, you unfortunately have to replay the entire game to get here again. (4-5 hours)

Achievements unlocked (12 out of 13):

    - Fourth playthrough: Start a brand new save file and complete the game without collecting any stars/spheres or boss weapons. You must go for one of the "good" endings if you want to unlock the Factory-fresh achievement. It might be slightly difficult going through the game without any upgrades, but by now you should have a good understanding of every area including the boss fights. (2-3 hours)

    Completion estimate: ~10-12 hours.
