    You are amazing, bro
Thanks. I love to challenge myself.

Also, I know some people mentioned Ninja Gaiden 2 already, but I would argue that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge's Ultimate Ninja Trials were harder.
RE ain't got nothing on OG NG3.
Ain't that the truth, OG NG3 isn't even Git Gud, its just broken, hands the hardest game on XBox for all the wrong reasons. Still less than 100 completes since 2013.

I have the Spelunky and Super Meat Boy achievements from the list and haven't gone for most of the others. Virtua Tennis is my nemesis though. I spent hours levelling up my character only to realise I'd balanced the stats out wrong, so had to start again. I still have recurring nightmares about the 3 smashes challenge. I'm not 100% sure that's what defeated me in the end, I think I got that one and then hit another wall - I'm not going into the game again to check though! If you look at my tag you'll see that very few achievements defeat me, but this one definitely did!

Kinda surprised Embrace the Void from Hollow Knight isn’t on here. A boss rush of 42 bosses that has to be done in one go with 2 of the last 3 bosses being among the hardest in the game makes it a massive test of endurance and skill for most players. The last boss being an absolute RNG crapshoot is just the cherry (pun not intended) on top.

Also Assassin from Huntdown would be a good mention as well: you literally have to beat the whole game damageless (not in one go, but still) to earn that beast, and some of those stages (3-2 and 3-5 being the biggest ones) are a massive pain to do damageless.

    Achievement links for the interested:
Hollow Knight: Voidheart EditionSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition worth 299 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement
HuntdownAssassinChiflaGoodluckThe Assassin achievement in Huntdown worth 974 pointsGet 100% completion in Badass Mode

    P.S Gonna be disappointed if
Katana ZEROGold MedalThe Gold Medal achievement in Katana ZERO worth 1120 pointsAchieve a total rank of gold or higher in a full speedrun.
    isn’t on the speedrun list.

There's no easy way to do it, you literally just have to "git gud".
    Hear hear!
I’ll be honest, this only took me like 30 minutes or so to get. I expected to be on it for much longer. It’s not even close to the hardest achievement I’ve gotten at this point. Still not easy by any means, though.

Great article. I really like the approach of doing articles like "30 of the hardest" vs "the 30 hardest", as it made for a more interesting read hitting different genres.

Despite the less-than-awe-inspiring TA ratio, the meat boy achievement was fun to highlight. It's undeniably hard, but only requires a short period of sustained perfection. Part of what made SMB such a brilliant game - very challenging, but you only had to perfect one short level at a time.

This series of articles is great, and many of the additions in the comments are great to read as well. TA community at it's best, IMO.

    Great article, enjoyed reading it.

"Is there anything you can't do?" is one of my proudest achievements ever. It's up there with Crowning Glory (Perfect Dark), The Savant (Rockstar Table Tennis), Mark IV (Trials of the Blood Dragon) and Wail of the Banshee (Trials Evolution) in terms of skill requirement.

100k in less than a year? Welcome to 2021 where it's been snowballing completely out of control for years. LausDomini got 200k in 24 hours last week (213483 to be exact). We may soon reach a point where 1m is possible in one day.

    LausDomini's Stats
This is impressive. Did they really unlocked 1987 achievements on one day? Some achievements (example) don't have timestamp, only the day. Did they stacked achievements and synced the account on this day? Update: nevermind, hours only appear for our own achievements, not the ones from the oher players.

The achievement in Mega Man 9 where you need to beat the game 5 times in 1 day. Also the achievement in all variations of Street Fighter IV where you need to complete every characters' trials, you literally can't take longer than 1/30th of a second going from input to input on each complicated combo because it's a 30FPS game being on Xbox 360, and so it's twice as hard on PS4's 60FPS remaster of Ultra Street Fighter IV (1/60th of a second requirement). Tanks a killion, Capcom. Also some of the Seriously achievements in Gears Of War games like GOW3, GOW:J, GOW4, and Gears 5, not sure how hard the 2 Seriously achievements are in Gears Tactics. And all the Ironman achievements in GOW4, the Hell do they think we are, Superman?!

Street Fighter 4 is 60fps on Xbox 360 and if it were 30fps it would be harder not easier, more frames = smoother gameplay & less input delay.

I crunched the numbers: these 30 achievements are worth a grand total of 1660 gamerscore and 22087 TA. Not a bad payoff for literally tens of thousands hours of effort.

Or you could complete both stacks of Surviving Mars, Castle of No Escape 1 and 2, 50 Years, and Butterfly 2 to earn 21937 TA.

    The system is broken.

Did you account for ratio readjustment once someone unlocks the Crypt of the Necrodancer achievement? Since no one has gotten it yet, it doesn’t have a ratio above 1 yet.

Yes, I took the square root of the number of gamers, then multiplied that by the base gamerscore to determine its TA value. I did the same with the Tempest achievement that nobody has.

Cool, I was curious if you went that far or not. I’ll trust that you did the math right, then
